Sounds beast. To me it sounds like it has not been tuned though becuase it says it is estimated at being 300bhp. Wouldn't he have a printout with an exact figure? when he got the tune?

thats exactly what I thought! no print outs, no mention of tuning, etc? dont know if it is safe and it looks like it hasnt done many miles since imported since its an N reg. not sure what the HKS management is like and no mention of ARP studs and head bolts, etd!! also seems like it was imported from japan the way it is now. I will post pics up tonight, the engine bay is impressive but the body kit is awful!

was it not you asking if anyone knew who owned this one last week?

i would tell him to get it in somewhere to get checked over

Yea it was me but found out it was my mates wee bro who had bought it!

I was thinking the same but where would he go thats good round our way?

nowhere

Somewhere like Wallace performance or JAperformance both in aberdeen

Possibly Dastek but i dunno really how good they are with mapping etc, ok for RR's but i think thats about it

sorry to bring this thread back alive but was looking for more advice on the above car and spec. My mate Brian drives it, he has done about 10k in it now and its been fine. ran a 14.3 at crail on the weekend, but he says it feels limited, restricted?

(he thinks he was behind you a couple of days ago Dunsy?)

he has had it dyno'd and its running 235bhp. not sure on the torque figure or AFR, etc or if its 235 is at the wheels or not. he isnt too clued up on it all.

He has just fitted a decat and it has started to bog out around 5k revs, wot could this be? running too lean? fuel cut? over boosting?

he has spoken to Will about it and he has said the max he could run on that turbo safely is 250bhp. It still has standard injectors and standard internals too. He has just changed the clutch to an exedy one and had to change the rad also.

Could anyone help out please? I will also try and get more info on where it was worked on in japan and see if we can track it all down like what Dunsy done.

what is the HKS f-con like??

Cheers

gold wheels on it dude and horrible bodykit ?? if so seen it at crail at the weekend .

i would never ever reccomend japperformance for mapping/tuneing anything after the way the left haribo1187's car originally .

wallace performance seems to have a good reputation as far as im led to beleive

yea thats the one! :) lol

yea heard bad stories about them at japperformance!

Henry Roy seems to be the man up here to do it! Pimpinblackcivic on this forum just got his high comp B18 tuned by him and its running 220bhp now!!:drive:

Hmmm... its probably running a bit leaner than before. Tell him to get those AFR's checked straight away. Which F-con is it ? please dont say gold.

yea mate its defo running lean! He has a dyno print out where he was told he was getting 235hp but not sure on the other figures. I will get a pic of his dyno printout tonight for eveyone to look at.

He says the HKS ecu it has is the HKS F-con S (in anodized blue) so not sure what its like? can any of the american members shed some light on it? does it work like the spoon ecu with a generic map?

more info on it is it has the standard DC2 gearbox supposdly with a Spoon LSD but you wouldnt know for sure unless the box got opened up. As the guy that sold it lied about it having an HKS paddle clutch. as when it started to slip my mate fitted a Helix organic clutch and the one he took out was stock! :(

it has a HKS cat back system. standard manifold. He runs it on Vpower (99ron) it has the standard fuel rail and regulator and an oil catch can. I will have a good look at it tonight as not sure what the PCV system is like.

it is his daily drive with the odd drag and just wants it to be running safely!

What i am confused about is why did the person that built it in Japan spend all that money and not upgrade the injectors?

My mate Paul who is an auto electrician sorted alot of wiring on it as it was a mess and fitted a toad alarm to it. He reckons it could be an Acura? how could we know? the car is a right mystery!

Everyone please help!!!!!:nice:

sounds pretty bam spec tbh lol.

no dange would i buy a car that someone else had turboed etc

yea its missing a few essential parts! lol

But I had a good look over it just now and from what I can see its very well put together and he has done alot of miles in it with no probs. just since he put the de-cat on its started to run more lean I think. not sure tho as I am no expert!

Henry Roy at Triple H had it on his dyno last september. I've had a look at the dyno sheet and it was 200.2whp (235.3bhp) 143.7 (159.1)/3404.1 torque.
14.5C temp, 75.7% humitdity, Pressure - 1016.7 mbar, 114.3mph. The dyno is a Sportdyno V3.4, Dynamometer: HHH Dyno, Roller Inertia: 6.6

I will put up pics!:))

I had a look and it has no oil catch can or breather set up so that is something he should defo invest in. it still has Standard Injectors also. But he is taking it to TDi north next fri and they are gona have a look over it, fit bigger injectors and try and tune the HKS F-con S, if not they are fitting a S300. So hopefully its good after that. It needs a bigger break set up as its standard also.

let me know what you think?:thanks:

henry roy is good as is his dyno.

that power however is SHITE a turbo and its making 35hp more than standard? what a waste of time hahah.

also one of the worst looking integras iv ever seen

Yea everyone I have spoken to have said good things about Henry and his Dyno!

Yea the power is shite for a turbo, my mate was very very upset when he got told that figure! As you can see in the advert it said 300bhp!:( alot of people can lie about stuff without proof. Like it only had a standard clutch and I bet if he was to open the gearbox there would be no Spoon LSD!

He got it from an Importer in Yorkshire, not sure who again! He is hoping TDi North can get more power out it and open up its potential!

Yea its not the best looking wise, not my cup of tea anyway. I would have it totally standard. But from looking at it it is very well put together!

if I'm looking at the correct plots (ie not color blind), AFRs are ok for the boost.

it's boosting low, that's why it's low on power. uprating the injectors and turning the boost up would wake that thing alot more. 4 to 5-ish psi is just really wasting your time with the turbo :)

not a fan too with the looks, but that's another story...
