hiya guys im having my b16b rebuilt needs work so going boost with a race tech kit i emailed a company in the us they do forge pistons n conrods but because the b16b engines are a taller block the internals are slight differant to b16a they have asked me for the the standard spec of both so they can order the right ones for my car so does any1 know the the spec of the piston i.e. bore stroke length etc also same with the conrods :please: guyz thanks.

B16B

Displacement: 1,595 cc (97.3 cu in)
Compression: 10.8:1
Bore: 81 mm (3.2 in)
Stroke: 77.4 mm (3.0 in)
Rod/Stroke ratio: 1.84:1
Rod Length: 142.42 mm (5.6 in)
Power: 185 hp (138 kW) @ 8200 rpm & 118 lb·ft (160 N·m) @ 7500 rpm

Note: This engine uses the same block as the Integra Type R (B18C5), which is taller than the B16a block (by approx 17 mm), but with a crank the same stroke as the b16a. It uses longer rods to accommodate for this, which is why the Rod/Stroke ratio is higher than a standard B16.

It would be cheaper for you to source a b16a short block and use that for your build as custom rods and pistons for b16b are far more expensive than off the shelf parts available for b16a.

it be cheaper to use a 1.8 crank and just get forged pistons/rods for an ITR as last i checked nobody made b16b specific forged rods/pistons.

Thanks guys for the help I no its guna be alot harder to forge/boost a b16b but its cuming off road to be done n thats the 1 I want to stick to

So blinx how would I do that ?? I mean obvs I wont but if I took it to the machine shop what would I ask n parts I would need ??

Also rich 777 is that some1 on hear ??

Thanks again guys
