cheap way to rise the compression
What, by fitting a C4 head onto a B16 bottom end? No, I don't think so! :S
Surely that'll be worse not better!
c4 heads are useless! Hence why people swap the c4 head for B18c/B16B/B16A heads...etc
the c4 head has a smaller cylinder chamber which gives you more compression
I'm aware of that but the gains are minimal then your restricted with the inlet, so your not gaining much at all..... see what I mean?
Well you just said it won;t rise compression now your saying it will make up your mind
I didn;t say it was a good idea but its the only reason people do it to the b16a to rise the compression a bit
No i said "I'm aware" I didn't say anything else other than those two words.
But if you'd like me to specify further....It'll raise it a FRACTION.... then you loose really due to the inlet design which are shocking.
Obviously the cams are better and more aggressive but he's not mentioned cams, just the head. It's the head/inlet itself I'm discussing here.
you edited your post about 3 times you first said it wouldn;t rise the compression. then back tracked.
Anyways they are compeletly different heads your better of saving your money and buying a set of itr/ctr cams more gains to be had than switching heads.
You did but in your first post before editing you said it won;t riise compressionI did edit my post yeah because I hadn't said what i wanted to say properly.
The chamber's on the c6 head are flat where as their round on a B16, which as you said raises the compression......... but then you loose in the long run due to the inlet design. So the gain is minimal? I personally think its pointless.
See what I'm saying? That's why I edited as I didn't explain myself very well.
You edited it again
haha ok we both agree no point in it lol
What, by fitting a C4 head onto a B16 bottom end?
Surely that'll be worse not better!
c4 heads are useless! Hence why people swap the c4 head for B18c/B16B/B16A heads, they offer better compression...etc. In this case he already has a B16 bottom end!
Plus as said your limited to the inlet manifolds you can use, so your either stuck with the multi-butterfly design inlet of the c4 or you have to fork out AGAIN for a Skunk2 inlet or similar.....
For basically.... zero gains.
.
Im pretty sure the GSR head is the best of the B series for boosted motors.
Rich777 on here uses it on a b16a bottom end if im
Not mistaken.
My head hurts after reading the first page
Same here, why can't people that don't know just keep quiet ? I guess that's the internet for you....
