So since parting out the EK9 in circa May last year i think it was, gone through a few cars.......
- 2004 Subaru Forester STI litchfield import (300bhp, very quick car with lots of grip! only sold it as the next car came available from a friend)
- 1998 Audi B5 S4 avant (430bhp MRC built car, absolutely loved this, perfect for me for bikes and snowboards etc. ran this alongside the M3 for a bit but was CRIPPLING on fuel so sold it )
- 2003 BMW M3 (Nurburgring attack vehicle Mk2, ****ing awesome car and got more plans for it over winter, it's a keeper)
- 2001 Ford Mondeo 1.8 LX (BAD BOY bought to replace the Audi, free'd up some cash to finish the first build of the M3 and was cheap to run about in. kinda killed it though as started burning oil worse than a shanner B series, sold cheap to a mate)
- 2005 Civic Type R (seriously clean car, drove alot better than expected since everyone seems to slate them. only sold this due to lack of room for snowboards, also wouldn't be the best in the snow)
- 1993 Audi S2 avant
what i've now ended up with to run alongside the M3, i LOVE it.
previous owner fully repainted it (proper glass out job), every suspension component replaced including rear subframe off coated and rebushed etc, all new discs and pads rear calipers/carriers brake lines flexi's etc. engine wise has tfsi coils / decat / RS2 manifold / map, so pulls well and the 5 pot sounds great. wheels just been refurbed with new tyres too
plans? the headlights will get upgraded to RS2 projectors once i can get hold of some. full set of snow tyres going on tomorrow also
for now i have replaced the rubbish tape deck with a sony stereo which looks very oem in there, also replaced the wheel with a wooden nardi and oem looking horn button - spaced a bit closer to clear my knees as the column isn't adjustable
