My friend has a 97 hatch and wanted to change his front end to a 99-00 he wants to know what is needed to do this such as bumper light fenders so on. Also he wants to know if he is gonna gave to change the radiador support so everything could fit or could he just use the one on his 97 hatch
99-00 front end conversion

i think you just need bumper, grill, lights, bonnet, fender. I think thats it but im not sure about like radiator and that
mine has had a front conversion, radiator will be fine.
I don't mean the radiator it's self I ment the front end metal that the radiator and fan and lights grab on to. So all I need is the boddy parts and just fit them on there with out messing with the front of the engine bay
What exacly will I have to trim do u know

96-98 won't fit a 99-00 and vice versa if that's what you mean
if it doesn't fit then how can I make a 96-98 hatch have a 99-00 front end. Cause on my civic I have the 99-00 front end but I think it still has the old hood cause it closes just fine except that there's a gap between the grill and the hood but Idk for a fact though it just might b the grill cause it's after market. I'll try and put up a picture

Sorry didn't mean to confuse you! I'm almost 100% certain it will bolt on fine.
What I meant was that if you had say a 96-98 front end, and you tried to put a 99-00 bonnet (hood) on it, it wouldn't fit and vice versa! If you are doing the front end conversion, everything should bolt on to the car fine as it's the same chasis! But to get things to line up perfect you need what's been stated above:
headlights, bumper, bonnet, grill, front fenders (wings).
I'd be suprised if the 96-98 hood fit on a civic with a 99-00 front end conversion, as the lights, grill etc are all different! Maybe that's why there is a gap? I can't say I have ever tried it, but if you want it perfect, get the 99-00 hood

i have done it on mine i replaced the front wings,bonnet,bumper,splitter,headlights and front panel.also you need facelift under headlight mounts for the bumper and the wee brackets that hold your wings in the rite place for your bumper.well i changed all that to make sure it was done rite and lined up like oem
I don't know what the facelifts under headlights is but I do t think it has them I'm just gonna take pictures of it today and u guys can just tell me what's wrong with it and how to fix it

Have you got facelift front wings (fenders)?
Have you got facelift headlights?
If so....then I would recommend doing it properly and changing to a 99-00 bonnet, since it clearly doesn't sit right! If this is the case and you do have facelift headlights and wings, I'm suprised it fits that well to be honest
On the other hand.....
From the pictures, it looks like the bumper might be a facelift version designed to fit 96-98 without having to replace the headlights/wings etc.......and with the aftermarket grill being for 99-00 it doesn't fit right, and doesn't line up with your hood (bonnet) correctly! (that is presuming in the photo's that the wings and lights are pre-facelift!)
In order to say for sure you'll have to say exactly what has been changed in the pictures and what hasn't!
But if you want perfect fit, oem Honda is the only way to go

ok heres the the story when i bought it. the guy had told me that he had changed the front end to an 99-00 civic, but the car was hit on the front corner of the driver side so it look kind of off so. i thought maybe all i have to do is fix the front end and now that i did i see evrything fits some what good except for the hood. when i got it back from the boddy shop the guy told me that it looks off cause of the radiator support needs to b change to the 99-00 one, but everything fit so i thouht ill needed is the hood but im not quite sure. can anyone tell me if thats the only problem im sure everything is from 99-00 not sure of the hood is
