I've got a set of 300mm EP3 brakes thats I'm going to stick onto my 96spec ITR.

The 282mm set that I have this now is currently running with Stoptech disk and pads and can fault them on the track.

Can anyone recommend a different combination that could be better or just stick with Stoptech. (I know I will have to drill the disks for 4 stud)

Tarox F2000 discs and DS3000 pads maybe?

I have been using the mtec drilled race series 300mm discs with ds3000 pads and find them great,no fade and no warp issues

Do you have 260mm rear setup? or still on the stock 96spec 240mm rears.

I use stock motor factors discs and ds2500 pads on the crx and it runs the ep3 setup. Never warped or boiled them at Knockhill or sprints/hills

Drop me a PM, I should be able to sort out some good prices on discs and pads for you. Several options on pads like Mintex, EBC, Ferodo, CL and Carbotech etc.

Depends how hard your going if your going hard it's easy to cook a set of standard discs, I warped a set of motor factor discs in one outting and I did cool down lap etc to prevent it

Yeah thats braking for duffus. Obviously i dont hit Duffus at them speeds haha!

haha yeah obviously not doing that down Duffus.

I haven't yet locked up the brakes (not that I'm wanting to) into the hairpin using Kumho V700's...might have to try harder next time lol

ATR twinpots + 300mm x 28mm ATR MTEC discs + Carbonne Lorraines RC5+ all round. Proven setup even with milder pads.

I have used motor factor and other pattern discs for the last time.

Stuck on a set of Blueprint discs and I would get about 1/2 way around the 'ring and they shuddered that hard you could see the dash vibrate under braking. They cooled into shape though which I found very odd.

Although I am using harsh pads, Endless ME20, I think I need discs which can withstand the abuse, going to order some Dixcel discs next.

Also I warped a set of motorfactor apec discs on the road which I put on new aswell, the car was an EJ9 lol.

So yeh, If I were you and you drive your car like it should I would be putting on discs from a reputable manufacturer.

Always run mtec disc on mine, never an issue with them and I use carbon Lorraine rc6 pads.
Cheap, cheerful and they work,

I'm not going to cut corners on brakes.

I've got mtec's on the rear and haven't had any issues, though I took the mtec's off the fronts before I went on track and swapped them with stoptec. Done 2 session with them and that was with the car sitting out for 6 months over winter in between them

It's not cutting corners, just cutting costs.
I can lock wheels at high a speeds with the above set up, handles the heat well enough not to notice any fade after 30mins on track.

My set up was good, brembo discs and ds2500. Good at knockhill only my soft comp smei slicks gave me trouble
