Hi i bought 282mm 4x100 Discs for my EJ9 and EBC Brake Pads. I Want to ask you. I want to keep my EJ9 Calipers, it's the 98 Model with 262mm Discs. Is this possible?? Or i want ITR calipers to fit the discs??

You need either

prelude

legend twin pot

or rover 820 turbo calipers

Also brake master cylinder and servo might be needed.

You need either the mg zr 160 or zs 180 discs calipers and carriers.(These are a DIRECT fit) If you go with the civic mb6 setup the only difference is the disc is 2 mm deeper so will need 2mm milling of the carrier to make the disc central.
I have also found the rover 600 series calipers AND carriers are the same with 280mm front discs.

Or if you want a set of Wilwood 4 pots, I've got a set which are designed to fit to the 282mm disks :)

Or you could get a bracket made up to take the 262s with 282 discs... but it wouldn't be worth it imo.. just get the calipers

you have to get matching calipers, you can get a set for £40.
You can use callipers from an mgzr 160, mgzs 180, rover 620ti, rover vitesse, nsx, legend, mb6, ek9, dc2, some accords and some preludes. If you use the mg calipers they use smaller pads than the other calipers but they are cheaper to buy. The mg's also have 260mm rear brake's if your looking to upgrade at the same time

I fitted my 282's today, I got MG ZS 180 calipers & carriers, MG ZS EBC blank discs and EBC greenstuff pads, all for £201. It all bolted straight up, no hassle with milling carriers etc.

Sorry to like spam on your thread but ive got the same thing that needs doing and ive got the vti hubs to fit 282mm mg zs disks but ive bought some mb6 vti calipers/carriers just wondered if the mg zs brake pads would fit straight on them or would i need to buy the pads off an mb6 vti? any info be great :))

MG ZS180 calipers are alot smaller than:

Integra 98spec or UKDM Calipers
EK9
Prelude
Legend
NSX

The above are the correct calipers for the setup you are asking about (282mm conversion), for an EJ9 i'm not sure if this is a direct bolt on application, i think you would need EK4 / EK3 front hub assembly

Aside MG calipers i've also heard of MB6 calipers used but again i dont think they are as good as the ones listed above and may require different installation.

In terms of what? They use 57mm pistons same as the EK9 and DC2.

Actual caliper size, my mate has them and compared side by side with my EK9 calipers there was a considerable, noticable difference.

Strange, no idea why they would be bigger without having bigger pistons, if anything it would be worse due to unsprung weight!
