Need new daily tyres, dont want to be buying new 888's etc every few months what are people using with the above power range, any good street tyre that can grip 2nd in the dry, anyone have experience with a 205 / 215 Kuhmo, Toyo etc?:nice:

toyo proxi t1r or parada spec ll but spec ll only good in dry

ferderal 595 RSR, miles better than t1r and spec 2's

Yoko AD08s. Not quite R888 levels of grip, but far better in the rain and last ages.

Expensive though.

yea i want to stay away from 888's or that as ill only end up going through them in a few months, the federal is 80 a tyre on camskill for 205 50 15, might try them out! currently running 195 pirelli p-iece of ****, break traction 3rd and low 4th tonight on a dry motorway:angry2:

i had michelin pilot sport exalto's on mine. they're the ones that were designed for the clio 182 trophy. i rate them very highly

I'll be buying AD08's next. £80 each from camskill. Otherwise value for money toyo T1R's from the same place £30 each

Mine is 190whp I have 888's for track and T1R's for road no issues at all.

I will put something else on when these wear out though not sure what.

I used to use federal 595 Rsr on my Silvia.
Highly rated them! Great in the dry, not the best in the wet but okay
They seem to last a fair amount of time and done track days on them

I used toyo T1R and they were pretty good. Wet or dry
My bro used the Yokahama spec 2 and they were brilliant in the wet or dry.

Both cars well clear of 220whp.

I have them on mine and I love them

Toyo R1R ?

Same, or similar compound to R888s. Mate has them on his 160bhp MX5 and has gone through about 8-10 in 2-3 years.

After a trackday we both went to, me with new AD08s and him with new R1Rs, we compared tread at the end of the day. My car, being heavier and with more power still had tyres that looked like new. His looked like they'd only be legal for another few weeks!

I'll third this. The levels of grip are brilliant in the dry and I don't think they are the suicidal's choice in the wet either. I could plant it in first with barely any issues in the dry with 310bhp.

The parada spec 2's are dangerous in the wet imo. The hankook rs2's are ok they wouldn't be anywhere near r888's

ya thanks for the input people, will pick up a 2nd set of teg wheels for 888's for race use etc, coming into the irish winter (rain rain rain) im leaning towards the uniroyal rainsports 205/50/15, anyone use these ?

I can't fault toyo R1R's I have ran them for about 3k miles on my civic and they still look like new. That was with 220bhp turbo. Will let you know how I get on at 260bhp at the wheels with them.
