Nah on track you'll get up over 100, although anything over 115 ease off and come back in to let it cool. coolant of course should not rise above 90, if it does the fan kicks in etc

Doubt i'll have much cooling issues

Is that why cars burn a little oil on track? Maybe an oil cooler for me may help reduce my oil consumption on track....

Man I have no cooling issues with stock radiator, but granted, I havent been on track yet!

That bad boy and 8ltrs must be heavy :nerv: But at least its right at the front!

Looking good though man, im so tempted to follow suit and get rid of the PS and ABS. The ABS keeps kicking in when normal driving and its doing my head in! As for the PS - free up more room in the engine bay and get more feel of the road

I'll see if I can commit after my first trackday :naughty:

What have you done about insurance fella?

Josh..

What temps do they normally get up to on track? Whats a dangerous level? As in siht oils getting too hot best stop?

i aint done a track day yet dude . but after a couple runs down the 1/4 mile its hitting just over 100 . i never let mine go over 105 though . best to be safe than sorry . i guess an oil cooler would be of advantage for track use though

Done a lot a trackdays all over the uk. My oil temp gets high around 130. Going to fit an oil cooler to mine, I do drive it hard on track last time was chaseing vx220 turbo at silverstone GP.:))

the koyo with the slim fan is really light so not too much extra weight with the high capacity

Cut the bonnet and fitted the catches tonight, also refitted the sill trims and wired in gauges properly

Interior still needs tidied, alignment sorted and a bloody good clean before saturday, busy busy

All that work, yet he still budgets his time for a good clean - respect :nice:

As for the guages where you fitting them?

I'll be getting Oil temp and Oil pressure after I sort out my brakes.

Josh..

Got 2 gauges

-VDO analogue water gauge
-SPA dual digital oil temp/pressure gauge

Bought a oem honda radio blank, chopped it and have them fitted in that. Gauges I bought second hand as a full kit including all wiring and sandwich plate/water hose adaptor, got a cracking deal

The SPA gauge is really good, dare I say better than a Defi equivalent? very very accurate, has menu functions so you can set warning lights for if the temps/pressure are too high or too low, records max temps/pressures also :wow:

Haha car is super dusty/mank. will try and give it a wash and polish tommorow night

:win: great job !! :nice:

can't wait for some pictures when done !!

also please explain how you did that wire tuck with the lights wiring.
