When ever you get new rims and/or tires you should alway have them balanced. It can create scary wobbles at high speeds that lead to unpredictability.

It's not a mechanic needed operation. You should try it to learn a little about your car and save some money at the same time.

I have always been a fan of the Apexi WS2 or their N1. As you stated the N1 can get loud but is a little more performance oriented.
