B62p is captiva blue pearl - it's a lot lighter than that If it's an original eg colour it may be Harvard blue, but don't know the code off the top of my head

I did one with the glass in place, was very awkward but a bit of soapy water helped

Finding a good example of either engine is hard these days - I own both and have no preference, if I was looking to swap into another car if just look for either with good history and mileage more than what engine it was

If you have evo rails you can probably make them fit by cutting the mounting tabs off and making brackets to allow them to sit in the right place. You'd need a pretty competant welder though - personally, although its more expensive, id buy ones that will bolt in 1st time and work as they were...

Does it go into all the gears and the clutch feel like its working? It should roll when in neutral obviously. Does the starter click or anything? Could be a sticky starter motor, but a bit worrying it wont roll, unless there's a problem with the brakes too

You can't get the actual heater matrix out with the dash in place, just the blower. Check your roof gutters as the sealer in there dries out and cracks letting warer in, happens alot

The dx eg isnt a great base. Hardly any have no power steering and if you want to put a vtec engine in you need a new fuel tank, lines and a tonne of wiring. Ive had just about every model if eg abd love them, currently have an sir which im hoping to get on the road again for March, April

is your car standard or has it been remapped? Ive had mapped cars do this, just down to crap generic maps. As above if not though, could be something simple too - start with cheap jobs!

Mine have usually been tight going in but egs dont have circlips. If its fully in and you can get the clip on then it should be fine, once on the car and bolted in place its being held in anyway so not like itll fall off

You can break a car then scrap the shell providing you have the v5 and the shells still got the vin plates on it. You get paid for it (if you take it to them) and then get a certificate of destruction from the dvla to confirm its been scrapped
