Best sunroof bung

Had a look through some old threads but quite a few options.

What sunroof bung do people recommend will be taking the sunroof out my jordan as I am considering buying a cusco cage off a mate :)

I am worried that some may let in water from what I have been reading. Anyone reccommend any?
 
I would use the buddyclub one then get your roof wrapped my plastic bung from pneuma on civiclife leaked really bad
 
Will get smoothed in once the car is painted but that wont be till mid/late this year!

So need one that wont leak in the meantime haha
 
I think if your going to the effort of getting it smothed and painted you would be better putting a non sunroof skin onto it.

Ill be swapping my plastic one out for the metal buddyclub one.
 
surely silicone might help logan ? im sure if its rivited down with silicone and as mentioned above a good clear wrap it will probably be fine :)
 
Do what I done in my Jordan... Fit the cage with sunroof until ain't time.all you have to do is cut the black sunroof tray inside and jobs done done it on mine and safety devices cage is in and all
 
Install the sunfoor blanking plate and seal it with clear silicone, if your getting the roof painted, weld up the sunroof and repaint the roof
 
I used the buddyclub panel on my old ek4, great fit rivetted on with silicone on the inside then painted outside. No leaks at all bud.
 
My buddyclub one has been faultless. Just make sure its sealed well :)
 
As someone mentioned, a new roofskin would be the best bet and isnt as huge a job as it sounds
