What got you guys into cars???

What influenced you into modded cars etc? :drive:

I got into the car scene through magazines, seeing awesome looking japanese cars face to face :clap: , computer games, family :nice:

What about you guys?
 
I was 13 years old, skateboarding, i saw an 18 Wheeler that was all fixed up (true story) i was so little those days, maybe 5ft tall, i was so amazed by the huge chunk of metal and i instantly fell in love with all things automotive. Nobody believes me or they think I'm joking but my first automotive passion came from an 18 Wheeler :lol:
 
It's in my blood. my mums side of the family have been bikers, mechanics and car lovers way way back. My grandad was the first guy in his street to own a car way back when. Unfotunately I wasn't close enough to that side of the family to get a good education from them though...

None the less, been playing with/into cars since about the age I was old enough to speak. I think that says it all.
 
The car or should I say 'Honda' obsession began in 1996 when I attended my first import drag racing event. I've been hooked ever since. :D
 
My father was put in state prison when I was 7yrs old (now 24) and the few memories I had of him while growing up were of him working on his 65' Chevrolet shortbed swapped with a 327c.i.d. Corvette motor.

Anything automotive would remind me of him so I stuck with it naturally. He's been out 1 year now and i'm anxious to take him out for a drive in my 97c.i.d. B16B EJ hatch. Soon.
 
My dad has been a mechanic since he was 16 (worked up to management and now looks after almost every Mercedes commercial dealership in England and Scotland) which got me into cars in general. He also had an S2 RS turbo and two RS2000. I always used to go RS shows with him. This was before modding really took off that much and these shows were just about minty fresh cars.
 
My EJ1. First car I had was one heck of a piece, then I got the EJ1. I wanted to know more about it and Hondas in General so I started reading up on them. Never did anything to it beyond what my brother did when it was his aside from wheels (I put some DC2 LS Meshes on it). I wrecked it then got my B16 swapped EJ6. That's when I REALLY got into Civics and other Hondas mostly. I later joined a local forum and got more interested in other cars as well. Thanks to my EJ6, though, I have more automotive knowledge than before and I also have a love of 96-00 Civics. They are my favorites with of course the EK9 at the top of my list.

Top Gear however has expanded my love of cars further. Now I'm in love with Gallardo's as well.
 
my dad, we used to have a toyota corolla back in the days i dont remember what year it came from but i remember it had a saturn engine..he always push it to the limit when he drives that ol' car, since then i always wanted to drive that fast,well guess what i did and much lot faster..:clap:
 
thats a good question! i don't know i just was i'm not sure there was anything that caused it. :)
 
always had a thing for the cars since i was a small kid, so eventually that just grew to what it is today...

I think I spend most my life outdoors being in the military, sorry but where I come from guys like females and intercorse with them?

I guess it's different where you live...
 
Got into cars becuase of my dad. Since i was old enough to hold a tool i was out there bugging him to teach me more lol.

Done my first peice of welding on a car at 7 !

Then once i got my licence i got addicted to speed cant beat taking a set of corners spot on.
 
My dad. Used to sort his old shed's (Clapped out cars) every single weekend i wouldnt have the job i do if it werent for this. Somt C*ck from my work got me into Civic's tough. AKA CAL
