The front bumper and air dam are away with the body shop to have them finished properly - I have made the front splitter and all will be attached when I get it all back hopefully beginning of next week.

Comments?

Man, tell me more about those fender flares!!

Loving the new look, looking forward to more pics when shes done

Man, tell me more about those fender flares!!

The flares are there just for the meantime, until the handling and setup gets sorted. Then the rear guards will get tubbed dragster style to allow for a lower stance, and the front subframe and suspension will be revised and rebuilt in chromoly to allow for more adjustment and lower unsprung weight (billet hubs, single "knock on" wheel nuts etc).

After that's done and set up the car will receive it's long awaited paint job (it's just covered in vinyl at the moment) and wide, JGTC GT300 body kit, along with an engine build of some sort, and full underbody ground effects.

Probably something like a B16a1/2/3 turbo with T3/T4 hybrid for LOTS of torque from abot 2500rpm and all the way to 8,750rpm. Peak power will be about 7,500rpm.

Won't be needing that 4.9 final drive any more with around 220Kw, so the engine from this car will be donated to my wife's CRX race car that she made me promise to build for her (EF something or rather). She says that driving my race car scares her :D

I hear you asking "why not build a B18c turbo or something bigger?" - because with the equivalence factor I can still be in the local 2 litre endurance class ;)

turbo? fast spoool? GT28RS is what your looing for ;)

You wouldn't be baised would you? :D

I'll have a good look at the options naturally, but there is a guy here in New Zealand who has a 500hp daily driven EG civic that uses T3/T4, so I thought of just copying his setup.

Anyway, here's what I did this morning:

Now to do the other side...:((

How would i be biased? I don't sell parts and i personally use a GT3076r :p I'm just here to help, i used to have a t3/t04e personally also and keep in mind there are MANY different types of t3/t4 turbo's. Establish an ultimate horsepower goal and i can suggest the fastest spooling turbo for ya ;) Also are you building the motor?

Sorry dude, thought you might be biased because that's what you were using - whoops.

There's a guy by the name of Steve Murch who pretty much pioneered the T3/T4 turbo here in New Zealand, I'll be talking to him about what specs/power I'm going to need, and he'll custom build the turbo to suit.

Ideally running low boost for reliability's sake, but it'll all come out in the wash.

I'm going to build the motor, along with my mechanic and my fabricator we have access to all sorts of gear and so forth, so should be pretty fun as well.

Wow, looks amazing!
I have never seen a JGTC GT300 body kit on a EK before. Sound interesting.

Does he use a dual ball bearing cartridge? How much power you shooting for?

Yeah he does as far as I know.

Something like 300-330hp, endurance racing in New Zealand requires dot approved race tyres (semi slicks) so much more power than that will be a bit unusable.

We'll see though I guess, at the moment it sits at about 200hp from the B16b, but of course it has next to no torque compared to what I want to build.

not really, i have about 380bhp (333whp) and i drive on DOT approved slicks (nitto nt01) and i when the tires are hot i have traction in every gear :nice:

Latest pics, almost there! Bumper is just sitting on the car for the moment, haven't fitted it properly yet:
