I have a video to upload also of the ITBs in full flight but it takes aaaaaaages. Up soon - promise!

oops I mean BYS front bumper..lol. It's just that I didn't see the carbon lip that's why I said Airwalker. :D

video or ban! lol, j/k hahaha hope to see the video soon :)

Hahahaha point taken :)

I have the video on a cd on my desk but I have to edit it, it's got lots of mucking around with camera mounts and harnesses at the beginning :((

Up soon - promise!

After laying on my workshop floor for a while yesterday (day off) I found that the MFactory sway bar kit doesn't fit a JDM EK9 :((

The Original sway bar was 26mm and sat much higher up the subframe so the holes don't line up for the bolts, and there isn't enough metal on the re-inforcement bracket to slot the holes to fit.

Bummer.

Lucky it was sponsored and not bought, I would have been hacked off if I had bought it with assurances it did fit!

Taking it back today to swap for something else.

Found another rare part to go on - a manual rack from an N1 Civic Type R.

The looped setup goes in the bin! :)

Counting down the days to when it gets its next outing early October. The video I promised everyone was in some weird format and my laptop can't do anything with it

I'm giving it to one of my good friends who's got all the gear and he'll deal with it when he gets back from the UK about the 21st of September.

Sorry!

Good news though, my brakes should be here next week, I got an email from the manufacturer this morning saying they had left! :nice:

dont bin the ek9 rack, give it me :)

blood, sweat , tears and stupid amounts of money, thats car modification for you but we all love it :nice:

Well the car is STILL in peices. Had a mishap with the LSD, someone (the previous owner I suppose) had used conical bearings to fit his S80 box, and I had to replace them with box bearings from my S4c.

What a hassle - one came off nice and easy but the other just wouldn't budge. I cut away the ball race and tried to use pulers but to no avail. I even cut deeper grooves into the steel of the bearing to get a better grip with the pullers but it just wouldn't budge. Broke the pullers too :nono:

Fitted the side skirts over last weekend, and I have a GReddy style front lip (from a facelift EK9) coming too, should be here next week. Before everyone says "but your car's not a facelift", it should be noted that the GReddy lip fits over BackYard Special bumpers, with small mods needed to wrap around behind the bumper to attach it. :nice:

I have a huge piece of plywood (9mm I think?) ready to design and make a front splitter (after I make some brackets for it to attach to), and once the steering rack is changed I'll be able t stat putting the car back together, with the brakes going on last of all, after the lower ball joints are changed cos they're toast.

I have ordered some 235/40/17 Toyo R888 tyres for it's first track outing (with the new aero/brakes), hopefully 17 October.

Stay tuned!

Ummm can't find any... :((

Strange, though I had some. I'll take some more, but honestly there's not much to see apart from a full (10 point) roll cage and a recaro SPG seat with a harness. The stocj dash will be removed soon and get replaced with either an aluminium or carbon dash of my own design that will shave more weight off the car, and a digital dash of some sort, probably AIM or similar (so it will negate the need for gauges).

Only ask about the interior pictures is cauz you mentioned that it's a N1 EK9 and was wondering if you had the non-srs honda steering wheel.... :p

These arrived today:

No rotors, pads or hats yet though, there's three boxes and the other two are probably coming tomorrow.

Enjoy.
