I have a carbon hatch on the way - but won't be using it for racing as carbon tends to shatter in an impact. So for racing I will use a lightened (read: single metal skin) hatch with lexan glazing.
The bonnet is a custom fibreglass job to replace the OEM bonnet. It weighs just less than 6kg - it's lighter than many other bonnets, including carbon. About the only bonnet lighter is the Back Yard Special single skin carbon/kevlar bonnet - but the price is like

I raced today at the test day - successful day, set a personal best in the car so I'm pleased with how it turned out. On the down side I had a bit of an off and bent the front guards and bumper, as well as cracking the flares
