Hi its been driving me up the wall for ages but my headlights on my ek9 seem to have a yellow oily dull tint to them inside the glass (i think)

Anyone know what this **** cud be, i just saw a post with the same problem but was on the outside of the glass not the inside cud this be the same or not?

I doubt it's inside the glass mate, have you tried following one of the guides on here?

Yeah ive been thinkin about it tbh,

Yeah im going to try using the T-cut glass stuff on them see if that works?

i have seen condensation inside the unit cud that mean the seal has broke?

been trying all day to get them nice and clear still it wont shift:angry2::angry2:

could it be possible its on the inside of the unit behind the seal?

yes i used megs scratch X on the outside of the headlights, theyve cleared slightly but its still an oily yellow from certain angles(most)

how can you clean the inside of the unit?

slightly but alot worse

it looks like someone has layered the glass cover of the unit in oil, mostly noticable from side angle views

i used megs scratch X and it did clean it up a bit, mostly nearer the pointier side of the headlight. but by the indicator its still awefull.

ill get some pics up tomoro cuz its 1:30 am here :nono:

see what u guys think, im starting to think i may need to clean the inside of the headlight itself any ideas on how i can do this?

Cheers pag

If there really bad. (hairline cracks) buy a set of used non ctr lights for cheap, and swap the lenses between the two.

:shocked:Used the bake method someone posted on google to seperate lenses

Worked well i even sprayed the inside chromey bit gloss black

Came up suprisingly good :D

cheers guys

Autosol Works a treat too... Used this on mine by hand and they came out spot on.

Wet sand them with the finest grit sand paper. then apply rubbing compound. then buff the **** out of them!
