They are nice wheels, think my dads going to do them a dark grey colour just purely so they will be easier to deal with.

Nice progress, must be nice to track an EK9, keep it up mate.

Thanks man. Sometime's I wish it was a Y56 EK9 :p

Another little update today, got the car on the road for the first time with the new gearset in and I absolutely love it and the whine it gives off too :nice:. The reduced rev drop between the gears really makes a difference, will get a little video up soon.

But I got the car laser aligned today, I know a guy at the local Tyre shop and after some research and my driving style I wanted the car to have a sharper turn in with more "loose" rear end. So I got the front set as close as possible to 0 degree's and 0.1 degree's of toe out on the rear and what a difference it made, seemed to liven the whole car up and that was just going round a few roundabouts, can't wait to test it on track :nice: Not too bothered about camber for the mo, just need to get the car sitting completely level on each axle and hopefully that will even it out more.

Car is mega clean never seen it dirty, should be good fun around kirkistown too! :p

what those "GF" stand for?

Gf is the chassis number for facelift,
E is pre facelift

He also needs more front camber, rears probably abit much aswell at nearly 3degrees one side
Once you've got the front camber sorted you'll be amazed how much faster the car will turn

Thanks alot man :nice:, And I got it from a local lad, It's a genuine topfuel item and I've been after one for a few years now, not the easiest thing to come by.

Looking as gorgeous as ever!

Looking fantastic :nice:

Cheers guys :nice:

So a few updates, I took the car up for MOT and one of the rear caliper's isn't working to well, which is down probably down to the car laying around most of the year, So it failed on a rear brake imbalance of 39%, needed to be 30% or less to pass so I am sending it to get the calipers rebuilt very shortly and up for the re-test, really annoying at the same time.

Also I had a trackday recently aswell which was awesome for the first half of the day, and then an accident meant that I only got two runs that day which was a bit of a shitter however It was a serious enough accident and was actually a female in an ITCC EK9, hope she recovers soon!

The car was running very well for what it is with the new gearset and have knocked my times down a bit from last time, also ran the 888's about 26psi hot all round and they performed alot better than previously as I had over inflated them a bit lol. The geometry has also improved the "nimbleness" of the car with the rear toe out rather than toe in.

Really enjoying this little car, have a drag day on the 27th July too for a bit of fun :p.

Gave her a little service too prior to the track:

Also thinking about putting springs 2k stiffer in front and rear, currently there 10F 8R, but would swap the fronts to the rear and buy two 12k springs for the front, the car can feel slightly soft at times on the 888's, But that's for another time lol.

Have more photo's and a video of my first run at home will throw them up when I'm back

Few pictures from the track day along with my dads DC2!

It was hot that day around the 30oC mark, bare in mind the DC2 has a Greddy 13 row oil cooler and full length alloy radiator with two fans.

Oil top up, Run it a little over full on track to be safe.

Calipers were bright gold before the session.

Done a bit of drag racing recently, Only for a bit craic, couldn't see me taking it too seriously but was a fun day right enough!

Didn't bother stripping anything and stuck a couple of 888's up front and according to the leader board my best time of the day was a 14.611 which I'm surprised about to be honest! lol I was in the >1700 N/A class and finished 8/13, thought i'd be last as there was some heavy machinery about, a guy ran a 13.087 in my class lol. The mfactory gears worked a treat on the strip :nice:
