Hi guys.

Was wondering what tire would suit better in a winter trackday (December), with "wet" floor and cold weader.

I am going to track the car and i was looking for Advan slicks, A048 or 888 to fit in buddy's lightweight wheels, 205 on the front and 195 on the rear for the A048 and the 888.

Car is equipped with a 7 point cusco rollcage, cusco zero2 coilovers, some reinforcment bars and some more things.

Let me know please.

Regards.

I have actually had both A048's and 888 on wet track and somehow they both worked extremely well.

And if you had to chose from those two, for dry and wet track, which would you get?

Maybe try the soft compound of either for the winter conditions.

try Toyo RR1, ive used a set of these during the winter and found it very good or a soaked track, with continuous down pour.

I have also found that the 888's are very good in the wet. Just not deep wet, if you know what I mean.

I'll try a set of 888, warming them up a bit before going "hard".

R1R is what i use everyday so will try something a bit "softer".

I've used R888s on a freezing wet day at Combe in decemeber a few years ago and they done me ok.
