Will this oil be OK?

I've found some of this at work and was wondering would it be Ok to use it for next oil change on my B16A2


COMMA - 5W40 Fully Synthetic Syner-D Oil - 5 Litre - 5L £24.99 Oil, Lubrication, Fluids & Liquid Additives Oils - Engine - 5W40



It says its for diesel so I'd appreciate some input as to what effect it would have on my engine

I would always just use a 10w40 semi synth as that is what was around when the engines were developed. I think Honda use either 14 or 5 w40 though.

Thanks but does this mean this oil will be OK even though it says for diesel?

Its fine, it will most likely protect the engine better than the petrol version.

But would this oil take into account the extra 5k rpm it will have to deal with though?
