Why do people!?!?!?

maybe not the fastest on straight road, but in cornernig it's really great

man this reminds me of my situation...

i've got these friends (they are twins) who believe that 4 cylinder engines are nothing to their v6'es. one owns a vr6 corrado, the other owns a 3000 gt (to be twin turbo'd). they hate on hondas because most of the mexicans here in our little city in illinois own EG hatches. (I have 5 friends who drive these EG hatches within our area, none of them are mexican).

My plan in the spring? Get that 96-00 hatchback. slowly turn it into a "Poor man's CTR" starting with the B16B. I just want to build a 1/4 mile sprinter that could take them on, and I'll be happy.

Eventually, 333 whp (blinx route) sounds good to me... then the 'Rado & 3k GT won't even want to cruise with me anymore. *shocker to the face*

oh and hell yeah, i wanna be the asian toretto damnit

go with a GSR motor instead if you can, way better than b16b for drag or boost :nice:

"the beauty is in the eye of the beholder" really it all depends on what is your type...

yup civics and vtec rule! they are just so reliable, comfy and handle like they are on rails!!! :) there is jus so much you can do to them and at a good prices also, its just soooo fun!

Yea bmw, fto's, colts, fiats, etc all use a sort of "variable valve timing" but nothing as aggressive and impressive as Honda Vtec!!

NICE!! :) :)

you know for years ive always had this in my head .. why evo sub american and nissan owners think honda is **** ... i grew up watching my brother build his gsr all the way up to what it was .. sad that he had to let it go but i mean even then there was no respect for hondas and my brother was WAXING cobras.. now i have my ej6 and i have big plans for it .. still young so saving money for school and trying to build a car isnt easy .. but ive always wanted to make something to shut everybody up and stop talking about hondas ... always loved hondas specially 96-00 body styles

i put it down to ignorance, the only people i've had the 'vtec is sh#t' argument with have no idea of what it does or how it works, some even tell me it's spelt with an h too.

me and my mate all used to own honda but now its a more varied bunch of cars and its far more interesting, used to be funny when 10 civics turned up somewhere at once.
thats some good info on where vtec comes from as my mate who owns a metro with a k series still believes that rover came up with the idea of variable valve timing and honda stole it from them.

let the scooby/evo etc owners stand in a corners and talk about how much boost they are running then argue amongst themselves.
i love the ek9 because no-one really expects it to be that fast on corners unless they've driven one and come next feb when it's got a b18 it'll cope on the straights too

Why is Honda great?

Because my tiny 1.6 can keep up with cars that have double the capacity. Although I do get spanked top-end. C'est la vie.
