Which set of coilovers. help ?!?!?!?

stay away from d2 known for leaking and breaking and being all out bad.

ive heard good reviews from the meister r, bc and tein ss

About that, yea you are right, d2 were known for rusting, leaking ets..
but now they are making a new model, that sorted out all those problems!

hahaha, thats funny! cheep china products? D2 aren't made in china for the info, but in taiwan! In asia, these is very respectful suspension and it is used in a lot of racing and their team is the asia rally champion since 2007!!!
And by the other mentioned brands, I would say allmoust everyone of them were made in china...

Sorry bro , but we've seen dozens of civic here.
Many with d2 and k sports suspension. made in china. crappy suspension.
next time check the coils better before saying so please :D

For your interest.
Easily buy the Tein since you are from the US.
The lowest you go you will need a camber kit front/rear too or your car is gonna be sitting down like a fish :D

And some more info to re-enforce your suspension check these out:
Swift springs: Swift Springs USA

Other super high standard suspension for the EK...

Spoon adjustables, Mugen 5 way, J's racing Crux, Zeal Function X, Ohlins DFV, Cusco N1,
Buddy Club n1 are good too ;)

How about the BC Racing BR series... any thoughts on that? its made in Taiwan though

I've had D2's, AVO, BC's(S14A) and now meister R's!

I have to say my favourite has to be a toss up between the BC and meister R's! The build quality is very good and the ride can be comfortable dependent on the dampening setting! Either of these 2 get my vote any day :)

D2's were decent coilovers for the money, never had a single problem in 2 years, but far too harsh for the road!

The AVO's were utter shite, they lasted a mere 10 months before the fronts leaked and lost all fluid! The Locking collars used grub screws to secure them in place and seemed to be made of choclate as all of them corroded then rounded!

do the bc's and meisters go pretty low? btw thanks for your opinion on the d2's

i have k-sport coilovers in the ek9 and i find them fine. if i am not mistaken k-sport and d2/bc coilovers are the same just different names on them

You are wrong... I don't know for others, but for D2's I am sure, that is not the same... It just looks like, if I would be the seller for the d2's, but I have just done a lot of research couse I bought one of these...

i am in the same boat mate i want some coilies but have only about 500 - 600 to spend and to be honest alot of people rate the meister r's...

the only 2 suspensions i have had have been top of the line, but i have no way of saving up another £1000 or more for suspension.

last 2 setups were Tein monoflex winding master and they were **** hot but were £1600 fitted by previous owner
other setup was Feels coilovers which were out of this world they were incredible perfect damping and absolutely no roll at all but were very very comfortable but they retail for about £1800 or £2600 if you go with vtecdirect.

my problem is i really don't think anything in the market under £700 is going to perform how i want....

i am going to look into these meister r's
sorry i've been no help mate lol

ive had tanabe sustec pro on my coupe for a few years with no complaints.
ride comfort is a lot better than any other set ups on cars ive had in the past.
i brought them with helper springs but i removed them so i could go lower.
they are not cheap (about £950 ) but i highly recomend if your looking for comfort and handling.

Yeah they both go low enough, to the point whet you can't get over speed bumps at all! Don't go to low as you will develop bump steer!

Thanks for the Tip :) and I don't plan going mega low, just nice to know it can :)

lol i think im gonna go with BC's because they dont sell meisters in the US :/ but to this day i still have not read a bad review on the BC's :) apperantly people are very happy with the quality and performance of these coilovers, I also heard these are pretty comfy for the road so them seem like a great coilover!!!

get yourself a set and let me know via PM what they are like mate as i too am very tempted by them.

esspecially as they are £550 to forum members on here and retail at £599

good luck mate.
