hey everybody,
im looking to buy some coilovers for my ek hatch but cant seem to pick. i did some research and i think i finally narrowed my choice down to either "Tein super streets" or "D2 Racing spec's". i have heard mixed reviews on both these coilovers. I also heard teins don't drop that low  and i'm planning to fill my wheel gap with either 15s or 16s with pretty slim tires. the car is a daily driver and it will be running on a b18c pretty soon :) i also use it for an occasional street race or too!

please give me your opinions on both these coilovers. if anyone has experience with either one please let me know and give me your opinion on which one i should get.

thanks in advanced :)

i have tein type flex wich is similar to super street and whoever told you that that they dont drop much lied to you because they actually do.

well, d2 goes lower!!!
And if you are using it for daily, than i recomend d2 street version!
It is cheaper, beter for the roads, becouse track version has to stiff spring rate for daily roads, so you will do just the opposite of what you want!

i have a set of buddy club n+ spec, love them, you can adjust the ride height without having to mess around with the spring pre-load, and there really easy to adjust, to suit your needs :D

after looking at a few, i was gonna get a set of Meister S' but something came up and dont have the fund :( will get a set in the future though

D2 is made in china suspension. Stick with showa stock ones and add spoon or swift springs to feel the difference. Maybe wanna replace all your cars bushings with the spoon ones.
Also same goes for K sports suspension ... stay away from cheap chinese products.

i would go with a set of meister r's m8 heard a lot of good things about them :) and you will also get a very nice drop with them as well

hahaha, thats funny! cheep china products? D2 aren't made in china for the info, but in taiwan! In asia, these is very respectful suspension and it is used in a lot of racing and their team is the asia rally champion since 2007!!!
And by the other mentioned brands, I would say allmoust everyone of them were made in china...

who gives a **** where its made if its out there working on people cars with results?

Use the search fuction. There are tons of coilover revews and options.

If you have narrowed it down to Tein SS and D2's then clearly you havent read much as both are hadock. Unless you just want your car to be super low and thats all.

Did you allready try the track version of D2?
I tought so, so don't talk about something, that you don't know!
Why are they then rally champions in asia for the forth year?
ah, I don't care what you think, just empty talking..

I'd rather cut my springs that run d2's... Got tein ss on my s15 there crap too. Got buddyclub racing spec dampers on my eg6 there not to bad, bit cheep feeling tho. Got öhlins on my evo and there propper coilovers.

Hahaha what a plonka.

For one were does he mention for "track use"?? He is after a street setup!

I have had Tein SS on my own car for 2 years and they were crap. Have now gone back to standar TypeR setup.

I used a car with D2's on and they where even worse.

Both crashy feeling suspenssion and are no good for the streets.

:blabla: I think you need to stop talking out of your a*s.

He asked for peoples oppinions that have used them. I have so i gave my opinion. :D

Ok sorry guys...I misunderstood, that we are talking about street versions...
For those I know, that make a car just slamed, but don't know about the quality of the ride... So sorry onse again, becouse track version is used in our racing club here too, and we have good eksperiances with it! (for that price offcorse)
If I would have a lot of money, I would go with öhlins or some proflex and other profi stuff too!! :)
