hi guys been looking at getting rid of my feels intake for something different
been looking at GruppeM Ram Air Intake System or Mugen Intake System just wondering if there any opinions on them thanks

Mugen is far too expensive imho. The best thing to do would be get something like a J's racing intake and build a chamber to protect against heat soak and get a cold air feed to it

whats your budget?

Mugen, comptech icebox, standard intake with spoon drop in + spoon direct flow pipe

3 best to go for IMO since they all use an enclosed box :) (i run the spoon option by the way)

Pipercross viper an sacrifice a hole in the bumper. Can't beat it for value for houses an the crome ring poking out just looks rude!

If you don't plan on getting cams, then MUGEN and others are a good choice. But Free flowing intake/Exhuast is what you need when upgrading cams.

It takes more energy to suck in air(intake) than to expel air(exhuast). Thats also why the Intake valves are larger than exhuast valves. :nice:

I highly reccomend the j's racing with a cold air feed......

I second that! :nice: And to top it off the noise that the J's makes is one of the nicest NA induction sounds I've ever heard..

one more thing am looking at going with changing the engine and going with the integra engine would i be better waiting till i have changed engines or will it still fit the b18

As long as the intake is specific to the chassis, it will not matter between a 16A/16B/18C.

Yes i forgot to mention the gorgeous sound that the j's makes it is just beautiful.......
I had one on my car and when I took it off I cud not believe the power difference all the way through and especially low down and mid end...........

you should try it with cold air, the top end really wakes up especially down low and mid. The other day I put my silencer on my muffler, and seriously, I now realised that more than 50% of the sound was made from the induction. Very bassy and loud!

elv1: Forget about GruppeM, its all hype. The 2 best intakes for your car are Mugen and Js with cold air. If you dont want to spend money, do the Stock Box CAI mod.

Yes I plan get one with a cold air feed as soon as I get back from america cant wait to drive it again 3 months without it lol......
