Well, it's about time i buy some decent front camber arms. So far i have gone through 3 sets of ebay specials over the past 2.5years.

But which ones do i buy? I guess they all work they same, my car won't handle any different with a different kit fitted, or would it?

Which kit is the best to get for quality?

Buddyclub ~£142
Skunk2 ~£170
Hardrace/megan ~£135/£115 ( they look exactly the smae in pictures so guessing they are the same just stickered up differently?)

It's to be fitted to my h22 coupe which gets driven hard daily, and isn't low. Will probably also do a few track days.

Thanks in advance.

We havent had any come backs from Buddyclub front arms.

Plenty of documented failures on the ITR forum...

Fez, I would go for a second hand set of the discontinued SPCs over any of the above. Replace ball joints if necessary.

I've owned the Buddyclub arms and if you do buy them you MUST!!! replace the allen bolts with higher strength Stainless Steel items as they will corrode and break. I changed the bolts in mine after only a few months of very little road use and they were corroded to hell and one even broke taking it out. Other than the allen bolts they are a very good quality arm, better than SK2 and other variations that have a large opening above the ball joint.

The hardrace versions seem the most solid design out of nearly all camber arms including the SPC's.

With any of them , always try to upgrade the bolts as Elchunk says.

Also if you can get away without needing camber arms dont buy them !

Most of buddy clubs stuff is ****. Who ever the does R&D must have a easy job as they clearly doesn't do it properly.

I can personally advise on the SPC kits if you can get some second hand as they are pretty dam good.

Yeah that happened to my mate after 2 months with the BC's i just thought it was him not doing the bolts up right. Lol but surely they would have sorted that out by now?

Tbh if i could get new spc's i would but i don't really want to fit second hand suspension parts, last few times i did they broke quickly so finally learn from my mistakes :)

I've been offered some discontinued spc's that are slightly rusted and ball joint boots are gone. Seller wants £100 for them. Question is where do I buy the replacement ball joints? Or do I just buy the ball joint boots?

EDIT: And sorry to Fez for hijacking your thread!

what about the cyberspeed arms? know a few of the vtec challenge run them.

I've read many good reviews for the Cyberspeed and Hardrace arms which look very similar in design. All other camber arms seem to get mixed reviews.

I use the hardrace ones on my track car and they seem to be spot on. Really well made.

I'm not sure, I recall a vendor saying they could get them, might have been VTEC Direct. I know for sure SPC/Eibach are still making them even though the arms are discontinued.

Hardrace - Cyberspeeds are same arms and use hardrace bushes as well.

Would love a set of SPC's but getting rare these days. Will be cyberspeeds for me. :nice:

Hmm cyberspeeds do infact look just like the megan/hardrace ones. Ehich a friend had on his slammed ek and never had a problem, Guess i'll just buy the cheapest out of the 3 then. Thank you for your help guys :)

Cyberspeed ones imo, all the high brand names have had very mixed and poor feedback , buddyclub breaking and skunk 2 balljoints needing replaced alot !

Its all about volume of sales though. All those brands will have sold 100x more. So horror stories will come. All products have failures.

I tend to disagree with "All products have failures". There are many many components that do not fail under there intended use.

As for buddy club arms ,there should be at least at a minimum be a factor of safety of 2 designed into the component which in the case of the camber arms, isnt there. The fact that its a mechanical tensile failure of the bolt makes it even worse! Thats a mistake that should be made in R&D/testing not on the end users car.

Proper R&D/testing should go into products that are intended for the publics cars.

Not being arsey, just putting out my opinion :)

Bluddycrud dodge that by stating that their products are for race use only.

Everyone thinks "oooh, race use is well tough, they'll be fine on my daily" when in actual fact what 'race use' describes is short periods of hard use in a fairly salt free environment, with frequent inspections, maintenance and a short life cycle before replacement.

They don't cut it on a road car with the kind of **** they get caked in and the amount of time they go without maintenance, so they either need hardware changing or just boycotting in favour of something fit for purpose.
