Hi everyone, I am looking to buy myself an ek9 type r...

Where is the best place up north to find a clean example, importers? private? any help would be much appreciated

Cheers man, that was quick!! So have you bought one from these guys?, heard good things? maybe you just work there, who knows. I'll look it up

No, I just post on the same forums as they do... They import some very nice rides, I don't know them personally...

We have some car sellers in the forums, but if you want to import directly from japan I recommend:

http://grahamberry2.co.jp
www.centralmotor.net

Stay away from IBC Japan, they have the worst customer service ever.

Where do you live by the way?
:)

i got mine through auto advan... :) would def recommend them.although they are not a dealer as such so you take the risk of not seeing the car and it no being guaranteed etc.

Cheers Mr RVM, much appreciated, I will look them up. I currently live in The lake district, N England.

Torque GT in Exeter. I'm importing my ek9 with them at the moment and they have been good so far :D

Try the two traders on here mate fastjapcars.com and tegwi imports

there are a hand full of guys who have been trying to sell there ek9's privately
but for some reason every one seem dead against buy them privately so every one get one imported
i even dropped the price of mine very low before i took it off sale i had no real interest

I know them personally...sound guys, will get you what you want.

Need anymore info PM me.

i am one of there customers i bought my eg6 sir-s of them 18 months ago great guys cant say anything bad about them and for that reson i just bought my second car of them a siver ek9 type rx .:win:

If you buy the car by your self in japan, try to find a medium size company, because you'll get a better customer service.

And again, avoid IBC Japan hehehe

Hi
Well if you get stuck finding one and decide to come down south give me a shout as i have 2 available. I wont mess you about at all and will be 100% up front about any defects.
Good luck Dunx (fastjapcars.com)

i have had 2 cars from type-r-dunk, been spot on both with the cars and the customer service.

wooow they're really cheap down in japan. why do we have to pay so much registration...

2nds on Torque GT from Devon, got mine from there and they have been awesome. Real nice bunch of guys...

I can't help but notice that most of you import your EK9's directly from japan through an importer. Isn't that risky? I mean are you covered if your car gets lost or stolen on the way?
