Where all the toda v2 manifolds at??? Been looking for a wile now!

Dont be silly. Just get a Tegiwia one, sod all difference.
JDM parts are an overpriced con.

Its a big difference when you factor extracting as much HP you can from a 1.6L. The collector is different on the Toda vs tegiwa. Its the little details that magically add a couple of more HP across the rev range on a NA engine.

I have Toda manifolds for my EK9 and DC5/K24. My EK9 B16B makes 50whp more than my friends modified b16a on same hub dyno, same day, same tuner, same hondata ECU. Every little detail counts on achieving this!

If your not the type who treasures your car or not keeping it for long term, the Tegiwa or any other manifold will do the job very well for the price.

Very well said, I couldn't agree any more!

Tegiwa manifolds are mass produced Chinese stuff! They can offer the manifolds at a lower cost due to simple fact it's just a rough copy of an established and proven design, No real R&D would have been done! So to say Toda are overpriced is rubbish, we have no idea what it costs to produce there manifold for a start.

I'm not saying they are crap, there are worse manifolds out there, equally, there are much better ones out there!

You get what you pay for!!

I just don't get why people keep saying buy this and that replica because it's the exact same thing when it really isn't. Rota's are not forged Volk wheels, Bride of Taiwan is not Bride of Japan (trust me, I found this out the hard way) etc... There's always a reason why Japanese parts are more expensive and knockoff parts are so cheap, most people just choose to ignore those reasons I guess.

Tegiwa manifold is not bad though, it's definately not a Toda but it still is a very good bang for the buck. All depends on what you really want and what you're willing to spend.

don't use TDI north get parts direct from japan from RHD loads cheaper

I do use rhd japan have a few spoon and carbing parts coming from them il wait and see how much import tax il pay for that lot 1st I can always cancel the order through tdi

my last order with them of £580 for intake parts for the fd2 I didn't get any import tax rhd are really good I don't go anywhere else

Fair enough some people get a kick out of having the very best parts available but £1300 for a manifold jeeeez. How anyone can justify the extra money for what lets face it is bugger all real world difference I have no Idea. A decent manifold on a turbo motor might be the difference of 20bhp, but an NA Honda......2-3 hp if you're lucky?? Insanity to me but I guess we're all cut from different cloths and if you have the money then why not.

quality is remembered when price is forgotten

Hahaha. Loving this topic.

Own a V1 spring slip jointed one myself (considering tig'ing it together as I suspect it blows a little while cold driving). Bought it second hand from a seller on here for £600. Don't regret any penny of it. Would rather take it off, polish it up and hang it on my wall than sell it. Out of the Supersprint 421, mugen 4-1 and 98 spec 4-1 I have had, the Toda out performed them all. Throughout the rev range.

Would I spend £1300 on a new one ........ probably not. There are just too many things I could buy with that amount of money, that would make so much more difference to the pace of my car.

If you can wait for one to come up for sale then I would do so. As I would still pay £600 for a second hand Toda over £400 for a new Tegiwa rep. If you want a decent manifold that will be your moneys worth buy the Tegiwa rep, it has proven itself to be one of the top off the shelf manifolds around and spend your leftover cash on a decent carbon airbox to work with it.

yea i not what ur saying, ive got a mugen intake on my car so iam half way there haha

How much would the Tegiwa manifolds be if they had to design, test and fabricate one from scratch with the same results ?

This is the process we'll be going through with the new Type R when it comes out. We are now in a position to buy two brand new cars and outsource the R&D to top British Motorsport engineering firms. Actually looking forward to silencing the haters!

Can't wait to see your response when someone rips off your idea and makes cheap knock offs.
