Yep its hard tried to get into London last year 8500 people applied for 150 jobs :shocked: At the end of the day they have people leave the service all the time through retirement so they will have to start recruiting again at somepoint its just waiting it out.
Might try and get on the oil rig until then :nice:
 
Just finishing up Uni with an economics degree...Unemployment here I come

Same, in my honours year for software engineering. Unsure if it's what I want as a career though.
 
Guess i'm part of the 90% of engineers.
I'm a aircraft maintenance engineer doing heavy maintenance for Boeing 737's
 
just graduated from university with a 2nd class honours degree and have been running the family vintage wedding car and restoration business for the last few yeara.

going to continue studies doing a postgrad in scots law

Tell me about it, I'm just finished 3rd year and have one year left. On placement since January till July/August. Definitely isn't something I could see myself doing for life.
 
apprentice mechanic, working at land rover,volvo,peugeot and mazda, shame..:secret: in collage now for the next 20weeks so full time studying ek9.org ;):busy:
 
Got a couple of months left serving my time as a welder in a fab shop at the moment. Looking to get into the oil and gas sector offshore once my time's out though!
 
IT Engineer, quite enjoy it tbh. Pay is good and soon will be getting better, just have to do a year at college and a few training courses :nice:
 
Management trainee, to become qualified quantity surveyor
Just wish the construction market would pick up :(
 
I'll be thinking of you all when I go into work tomorrow to make some paper crowns and play cricket and then take my week off for half-term :P
