Whats the compression per cylinder?


KND4YRII: Its going to be for street use, it may only see the track 1-2 times a year. I just don't want to do too much grinding etc, budget should be fine but need to save a bit... I always thought CTR had slightly more agressive cams, I think Blinx is right...
 
i think i know what KND4YRII was referring to though, a lot of people in the US with gsr started using CTR intake cam with stock exhuast cam becuase the ctr exhuast cam was killing a lot of there low end power, this may have lead to some misunderstandings as to why they were not using the ctr exhuast cam... but yeah, ive seen both you can see the difference, gsr and b16a you cant tell the difference by looking but ctr and itr are a lot larger compared to b16a or gsr visually.
 
No worries "blinx9900" it's all good, besides it makes for a good overall discussion I have no problem with you at all!! I 've built a lot of different engine combos in the past without getting into the bottom end!And to be honest that combo CTR Intake cam & GSR Exhaust is a very good combo wonder why Honda never came up with one!Weird! As far as a Daily Driven Combo/Weekend Bruiser is, this 1s hard to beat for the dollar!!But like I ALWAYS say to everybody" SPEED COSTS MONEY ! HOW FAST CAN YOU AFFORD? Research is the advice I can give you!Like I said was a fun discussion my friend I'm sure will be butting heads againLOL!! :blabla::thanks:

P.S.blinx9900 I looked for the Specs again and I found them to be different then what I wrote! I'm like WTF where did these come from then! Sorry for jumping all over you for it!

i wonder why honda didnt do a lot of things:

why no ctr in usa :angry:
why no turbo b-series :angry:
why no ls/vtec or cr/vtec :angry:
why is the new ctr so ugly :angry:
why no six speed b-series trans :angry: :angry2:

the list goes on, i guess a lot of the answers to those questions are the k20 but still.
 
I'm sooooo stupid!!!!! :angry: I just had a look on the test results again and found that the mech noted on the bottom that theres 5% leak in every cylinder. How the heck did I miss that??? :angry:

I couldn't believe the results! My mechanic used a new gauge and it proved very shocking. I guess my tuners gauge is F***ed... :lol: I'm very very happy!

I understand how you feel :D but the engine won't run better than before :lol: Even though 230 psi is most probably the true result, you keep asking yourself why the hell did the previous tests gave false figures, right? that's why i don't like to trust those tests...... The truth is always shown on the road...........
