hi

just got my hands on my ek9 after importing in and want to no what are the best mods to do first?

regards
simon

Depends on what you want, don't you think.

its always good to start with a good exhaust - manifold de cat and a cat back also free up the breathin a little to. all comes down to how much you have to spend and what you want. engine performance or handleing its a never ending list with an ek9

yeah want to sort out the breathin first, what would you recomend for an induction kit

Leave it alone, it's more than adequate standard!

If in a few months you find it to be lacking in a particular area, then by all means modify it, but there is no need to change parts for the sake of it, as nothing is going to be 'bad'.

it all depends what sort of power you want. low down mid range or top end.
alot of ppl like to use the standard air box with a pannel filter and take out the resonators. this will give you better results all through the rev range. there are also mugen that do one of the best induction systems out there

here is a link so you can see what it looks like. it was the first think that come up lol

x2. Alot of people always plan to mod their ek9 before they even have the car. But I think you will be pleasently surprised as to how they perform out of the box.
I'd say get a full service, cat 1 alarm, and enjoy it in stock form before modding:nice:

hi

its had full service and the cat 1 has been fitted by the importer so should be good, i cant fault the performance it pulls like a train.
thanks for the advice i intend to keep it stock for abit so i get used to everything.

get it serviced and undersealed before you do anything

i brought that exact Mugen intake :p :D

- Simon i would say drive it stock for just say a few weeks, then upgrade to a exhaust system, a decat, manifold

Sorry dude. Read your post wrong. I thought you were still waiting for it to arrive. My bad.
If it pulls like a train, handles well etc, keep it stock. You'll soon know your self after driving it for a while, what areas you'd personally like to improve on. Keep us posted:cool:

Get tilt brackets for the rear spoiler, nice bodykit and sound system will make it look better and faster.

im pritty shore it was undersealed by the importer but i will give them a ring just to be safe

Or just have a look under your car, if it's black it's been undersealed. If there is a layer of yellow or a layer of black that scratches off, it's been waxoyled.
