EK9/Civic
Well, right now I don't have a ek9 hehehe, but I have all the parts needed to convert a EJ6 to make a ek9 (don't get me wrong only honda can make a ek9 hehehe, but to make it look like one) , even the oem ek9 wheels, recaro seats, etc..

Do you think I should conver a ej6 ? In my country we drive LHD drive cars only, RHD cars are a p ain in the ass, specially going to auto service , (Macdonald's, banks, parking lots, etc..)

What do you think?

Are you going to use it on the racetrack or on the street? Or both? Are you more comfortable with one or the other on the track?

i dont own a '9' simply cos we hve LHD cars here... really up to u!

u hve already owned a '9' so u will know if ur missing out if converting an EJ6...

u still hve the DC2 for track use right?

Thats correct I have a 98 spec dc2 for track :drive:

depends how much you love the 9..if you want a 9 then buy one. i dont think i could ever be happy with a rip off version.

which ever is cheaper at the end?

since you have the parts already? I guess it will be cheaper to convert?

convert it... you've already had the ek9, and now a dc2! its also more convenient and after the conversion, im sure you'll feel satisfied that you built it :)

i dunno will ibe the same but you will have a bit of fun converting it...:nice:

I'd do a conversion if I was in Mexico, or any other country where you drive on the wrong side of the road.

You should only do the conversion if you start with an EK4 hatch. The EJ6 is very bare-bones, they don't even come with sway bars. You would end up doing a lot of work for a suitable conversion.

convert the EJ6. thats what i did, be smart dont be a retard.

if you want a real EK9, then get one. :)

It'll be more expensive to convert it. And you'll need to add more welds to the chassis etc to make it same.

the way I see it, an Ej6 converted to an ek9, still remains an EJ6 at heart. so in my opinion, definitely not. but if you have all the parts necessary and you want to save some trouble and money, then go for it. rvm ultimately it all depends on you. if it was me I would still be buggered deep down that its not a real ek9. If you dont care, go for it

If you have all the parts... Just convert it man ! :nice:
You'll have a great time working on your car, and you can be proud afterwards!

You can always buy another one in the future and sell the EJ.
