what pads ?

is anyone using ebc? i heard there good & i'm thinking of trying them out.
any opinions would be much appreciated.

I used a set on the rear, they work well, but they leave a lot of dust

I bought some ebc greenstuff pads, I just havent installed them yet. The quality is good but not perfect just by looking at them. If they leave some brake dust, who cares, thats inevitable..

I will use Hawk HPS for the rear pads! :)

i guess i will hve to upgrade @ least my front pads... as i opted for a stock genine Honda ek4 pads all round half yr ago...will give them a try upn nxt brake service.

tho i think stock Honda pads r about as good as u need for street use unless ur running 200bhp+ rite?

R front & rear pads on ek9 different to ek4? i guess just the front ones differ... its that correct?
:thanks:

my gilrfriends dad owns EBC. no one with an ek9/4 should be running greenstuff pads, they are not good enough if pushed hard. redstuf for street is best allrounder but my girlfriend runs the new compound yellowstuff-R front and rear with EBC USR disks on her ek9 and all i can say is be carefull not to nut the steering wheel:shocked:! and they are excelent from cold. would recomend them to anyone:D.

ive got couple spare sets of hawk ceramic for ek9 for front if anyone needs some (brand new in box), excellent road pad

yeah i get a discount for people and when cheque clears you get them the next day. i do this through www.hondaowners.net and im still ek9 type r on ther too. a few people have brought them off me on there and have no problems what so ever.
Please dont advise pads when your not sure on what goes on what car Thanks x x
you should have red or yellow (which are fine from cold and dont fade under extreme heat) never put green stuff on your car x x

hmm, Spoon brake pads are pretty pricey, especially the rear ones...

Wats the FMSI number for EK9 brake pad? or if anyone knows the hawk partnumber or ebc? thnks in advance:D

I'm running endless cc-x at the front, and hawk hps at the rear, great track setup! totally recommended :)

Hi,

Oic, cos i was under the impression that its the same brake pads as HONDA preludes ie HB144F.719?

:D

HB144.gif

depends which prelude, ek9 pads are same fitment as dc2, nsx, mb6 and some ludes ( i dont know which ludes though)

my dad owns EBC brakes you should never put green stuff on your car my ek9 is running the new USR disks all round and yellow stuff pads all round its done 3 track days and a hell of a lot of fast sorry very fast road and they have been incredibly good not had any problems but then i dont think my dad would put brakes on his daughters car that arent going to do the job properly. you can have red stuff on them too they are just as good but i need some that will withstand track use and road and im not sure the red stuff will let me do that on a regular basis! its all good pm me if you ewant a price or any info at all its no problem at all!

Put EBC grrenstuff on the front of my civic and kept the discs standard, very minimal gains, would not recommend them.
But they do actually produce less brake dust than stock! So unless ur rolling on 18"s and want that bling bling look, KEEP AWAY FROM EBC GREEN STUFF x

Here the Ferodo DS2500 is very populair. I will buy them for sure.
I have now TWR on my eg6, they bite a lot better than stock pads on OEM discs, but very dusty.
