Hi Guys, I have bought a Crx Del Sol 92 vti jap import off my brother. It has 41k miles on the clock.

I have taken the engine out and removed the automatic tranny.

I am just wondering as to what b16 code it is, wikipedia says its a jdm b16a

As i am planning on putting a manual gearbox onto it, and putting it into my 96 hatch civic.

Would i get the hydraulic s4c or a cable? as when i have been looking for clutch and flywheel kits they say hydraulic and some say cable.

I will get a picture of the engine, or is there any distinctive signs as to weather or not the engine takes hydraulic or cable? I am sure the engine code stamped just says b16 but i will check soon as its not at my house at the moment.

My mechanic will be fitting it all, I am just gathering the parts.

Help apreciated :) :please:

Probably hydraulic. Why? There is a 1st gen B16A, which is pretty much equivalent in terms of technology to the B16A1. First gen B16A has 160hp, B16A1 150hp.

Then there is a 2nd gen B16A, which is pretty much equivalent in terms of technology to the B16A2. 2nd gen B16A has 170hp, B16A2 160hp.

Now, AFAIK Del Sols have only been sold with the B16A2. It would make no sense for Honda to give the JDM Del Sol a first gen B16A (modified B16A1 essentially) when the rest of the world essentially has a second gen B16A, adapted for the rest of the world -> B16A2.

So that would be hydraulic then. But I'm no Del Sol expert, this is my educated guess.
