right im gonna be converting my ej9 to a b18 asap but need to start sourcing parts like brakes coilovers struts etc all the sensible stuff that shoud be done first... first things first though has anyone got any recommedations on whats the best front strut to buy? its gonna be used as a fast road car mostly! not worried about price tbh and all I want is a quality and solid rigid front strut that'll tighten the front end through corners any recommendations?! cheers

been looking at a tegiwa 3pointer btw

Tegiwa and best don't go in the same sentece. If you mean cheap and ok brace then that's fine.

Personally the best brace out there is Carbing 3 point strut brace! Weighs nothing, solid and such good quality! Expensive though.

Other than that I feel they all do the same thing just which one you think looks the best!

I have a 3 points bennen industry bar, looks good, quite cheap and does the job.

Any 3 point brace is more purposefull at "bracing" than a two point.

As above, 3 point serves alot more purpose.

My Ek9 came with a genuine Mugen brace, quality product. However, ive never driven my 9 without it..

I have read on here that the 3points don't really do anything more than the 2 point apart from add weight as where the 3rd point bolts onto the car isn't really strong enough to stop the car twisting and flexing rather than a decent 2pointer that actually goes onto the tower themselves are really the only ones mounted strong enough to really reduce chassis flex, personally I would rather have a good 2pointer that bolts all around the towers and NOT on one side only and yes carbon is good and light but carbon flex's a hell of alot and actually would defeat the point of bracing the front up. That also goes for alluminium.. The best would be a material hard as feck! Not soft metal like ally that can bend and twist something like a high carbon steel..

Rear disc conversion would be first on my list if you don't already have 1.

x2 deffo! upgrade those brakes asap :) My old mugen brace is the beefyest 2 pointer ive had but tbh good tyres and good coilovers and anti roll bars whats makes the difference in the corners. Hardly noticed a difference in any strut brace ive had but the 3 point ones look solid. thinking about getting the carbing one myself at some point it looks top notch.

this!

ive played around with different braces and the biggest improvements ive seen for me is from a decent 2 pointer brace up top and a thicker subframe brace down below, granted i never tried a 3 pointer but i kind of agree with that 3rd bolt position not doing much but until i try one i should keep quiet

Nothing wrong with tegiwa. For those in doubt look at their eBay feedback.

Bought plenty of quality items from tegiwa with fast postage.

First things first.... strut brace... Riiiiight.

I didn't have one on my EK4. Didn't feel like it needed one.
