I'm going to be buying a set of coilovers in the next few days and I'm wondering what ones to go for, I have 3 sets in my price range, I use the car on the road, crappy roads.

What ones should I go for..

Bc

Meister R

Or race logic

Any help would be great

A lot of people really rate the Meister R's buddy.

It's what I'm going to get when I have finally got the money to do so.

Meister R ftw!

Or if your roads are that bad maybe oem ek9 shocks and a decent set of springs

New OEM dampers would be better for crap roads. They are about £460 for a set IIRC.

BC's! I was amazed by how good they are on crap roads. my girlfriend didnt even notice I'd changed my suspesion. Maz at Hond-r got me a set of custom spring rates (8kg front, 6kg rear) and they are spot on for daily driving. My brother (who has tein monoflex on his ek9) said he was so impressed if his teins ever need replacing he'll get BC's.

Just bought racing logic coilovers and they are superb. Went for 10kg front and 6kg rear spring rates and are brilliant for back road/track days but everyday driving in town etc isnt the best. Were not 80 year old men so can deal with it. Also come with adjustable dampning.

Thanks for the help, still not 100% sure what to go for yet, mayb see who give the best Warrenty

I was very suprised by BC. They are nice coilovers for the money :)

Ugh... you got your feedback and yet still can't decide,
Useless thread. Absolutely pointless..

I have D2 on the shelf at £590 inc UK mainland Shipping

They come with full 12 months warrenty and after that I keep every single nut, bolt, shim and seal on the shelf should anything go wrong after that I also keep struts, top mounts and inserts on the shelf should you bump or have an off moment in the car :)
All Parts warrenty or replacement are off the shelf no waiting for parts to be shipped from asia etc..

Totaly agree!!

Why ask a question then don't take any of the advice??

There are hundreds of threads with reviews on these coilovers. Just take some time read other peoples uses and experience pick one to buy then hope for the best that it suits you.

At the end of the day suspenssion setup is always going to be a personal driving style thing. Everybody is different.

Me I have bought a set of Meister R's last month. Purely because their spring rates look to suit me, their dampers get good reports of being smooth, taking shock well and having plenty of adjustability. Plus Im yet to hear a bad word about them were as I have seen negatives and failures of the other makes.

It took me 2 years to decide what coilovers to buy. mostly because of money issues, But more because I first off just went and bought some brand new tein super streets and was sevierly dissapointed. So thought I would wait do some proper research into what would suit me then decided.

I'd only buy a coilover with monotube construction now, that's purely because my HKS Hipermax II's have been absolutely faultless, even after a track day there was little heat build up in the shock body.

I'm not saying buy HKS, just pay special attention to the design of the coilover.

Koni yellows are twintube and will outpeform all the multibranded Tiawanese monotubes...

That's like comparing one of the best twin tube's with the worst monotube dampers.
