Most of you will know this but just thought id share in case anyone is planning on doing this
My car is fitted with MB6 hubs at the rear so the wheels stick out a bit more
Previous owner fitted spacers at the fronts think about 15mm?
Anyway thought id torque up my nuts yesterday just to check them
The rear needed a little extra but the front were a bit loose
A couple of them were so loose i could turn them with my finger!
Started to tighten them & found they still didnt feel as tight as they should be
As in i could easily turn them even more which i didnt
A couple of the nuts actually sheered of the thread inside the nuts
After some searching on this forum i removed the spacers
Replaced the damaged nuts & happy days feel nice & tight now
So if you want to fit spacers fit extended wheel studs too
Im very happy i caught this before i had a wheel fly off!
