Wuddup guys, got my CTR a couple months ago and dropped in a spare ITR motor I had in the backyard. This thing has just been sitting in the damn garage because I cannot find a way to register it. :( I am getting to the point where I just might want to sell it - I'm so frustrated. :angry2: ITR motor, Fujitsubo FGK cat-back exhaust, Spoon wing, Recaro Speed seats, KONI yellow shortend shaft struts/GC coilovers/GC top hats, rolling on 16x7 Sprint Hart CP-R wheels. beatiful car, i really dont know about USA laws, but what do you mean by registering it? you can't drive this car on the streets?

thanks for sharing the photos, you're lucky i would love a B18C ITR block for my car hehee.

Well, its not illegal to drive a RHD car... but the car has to be registered/titled in the U.S. Me living in the most strict state (california) makes it A LOT harder to deal with smog/emissions laws here. :mad:

Herd you lot have trouble registering ek9's ,Is there no way at all mate?? seems a shame cannot be many ek9's in america. I f are were you mate i would look into it further must have lower emissions Than them big useless v8's lol Keep us posted mate :)

Yes, I am trying to work with Jay right now. It is very difficult since he is SO BUSY - I am currently waiting on a callback from him. :nice:
 
good luck on getting it registerd, yea california sucks. But i'm in the midwest, yea it's the middle of nowhere but you can do practically all you want to your car. diggin the gas pedal btw

awesome! i hope it works out. i believe hazw8st can do it!! also whats the suspension set up on that thing? that car is dumped and tucking hard!

KONI yellow shortend shaft struts/GC coilovers/GC top hats. I am working with KW on making me a setup. We'll see how that goes.

ALSO, FOR YOU GUYS NOT IN THE U.S: You guys have EASY access to CTR parts, do you ever ship out to fellow members like myself? :D

BTW: Is the CTR supposed to 'beep' (warning sound) if the car is in reverse with the key turned to the 2nd position? Mine doesn't, but my friend had an EK4 that did it.
 
if you don't mind me asking how much did you paid for it? i'm in the military and just got back from the desert. Jay's friend quoted me at 11K and I know it's about 2-3K for Jay to register it, which brings it to about 14K give or take some. I'm hoping to buy one in a few months. Thats cheap, I would grab one if I were you. Put it this way, $11k is what they paid for my car IN JAPAN (at an auction). Shipping was anohter $3k or so, you can do the math. :D

There is a guy in Illinois selling one (actually, I think he referred me to this site) for a pretty hefty price but his car is ridiculously immaculate and it has NEVER been taken apart to "sneak" into the U.S. I have a feeling he may be in the military and shipped the car through the military, also he says he is leaving for Aus and needs to sell the car.
 
bastard you bought the car i wanted to get. :( yes its worth the 500 bucks to get smog/carb excemption but dont modify it after if it looks stock and throws no codes with obd2 ref tickets wont be a pain
