Hi Guys,

I have a major issue with my EK9 and would appreciate any help or advice anyone can offer.

I have a passenger side wheel bearing which is seized onto the drive Shaft along with the Hub. It can't be removed with force and heat so it looks like i have no alternative but to buy a new drive shaft, hub and wheel bearing, along with all the other bits that go along with them.

Honda want £800 just for the drive shaft, along with all the other parts i need, i'm looking at about £1,500 for just parts. :(

I suppose i have 2 options:-

1 - Buy all new parts from honda unless someone can recommend a cheaper alternative where i can get them?

2- does anyone know someone who has a written off EK9 (rear smash) and i could buy the parts off of them?

Cheers for looking and any help would be greatly appreciated

You will find spares mate dont buy these parts off honda !

Look in the for sale section there are people braking ek9's.

I also think there would be something you could get done to get the driveshaft free and save your hub and possibly the shaft if the teeth arent mangled.

If you take the hub and shaft off the car together then give it a try or give it to someone with a bigger hammer :)

I think that everything on the drive shaft can be written off!
They have a machine which can apply 4 tonnes of push or pull and that wont get it off!

i asked a few people in the for sale section who are breaking EK9's so will wait for any replies or messages back.

if anyone spots something that i've missed, please let me know!
