mentioning this, i can recall 92-96 civic eg6 B16A insurance grp is 16, one more than later ek4 b16a2 being grp 15...this being first time ctr was introduced in japan..:shocked:

therefore it can be said that vti/sir model WAS the HOT civic...:blabla:
 
Barry, your car looks HOT. i had a SSB And a jordan a while ago and i had them with the ek9 kit :)
Jewel: one thing that i did find disturbing, is that you thought that only ek9s could participate in this forum... think... does this not sound wrong already?

Neo and blinx are very helpful members(didnt even know blinx was admin o_O)they have both helped me out in answer Q's about the 9 for me. Appreciated info :)

out of interest how did you find the intake you have did it increase performance, any dynos?
im still unsure what to do looking into j's racing intake like yours or a drop in filter but spoon direct intale pipe as i wante to keep low down and response as i have vtec for top end:)
 
barryl ur car is looking sooo good and if you wanna make it look like an ek9 i say fair play to you! its your car and you can do what you want and you shouldnt let people that disagree with making the ek4 look like an ek9 get to you!!

like yourself i would love an ek9 but for simple reasons such as running costs and insurance, at 19 yrs old its a wee bit difficult lol so yes people "like us" jewel cant afford it so we make our ek4s look better and "impersonate" an ek9. we dont for one second think its a REAL ek9 but we like the added extras of the ek9 so we copy! so keep up the good work barryl once the coilovers are on its gonna look evan more amazing! :)

heres my ek4 and i will be putting on an ek9 spoiler because it makes the car more differant to any other VTiS :)

Something I wanted to say about the SiR, I fully respect that car not in the sense of a "poor EK4" but as a highly competitive car just like the EK9. The Type R is a completely different car indeed in terms of everything compared to EK4 and with better overall quality, but lets don't forget that, that was the basis for the developement of the EK9. Without the SiR, there wouldn't be any Type R and most probably we would not be here to discuss now and to hear Jewel's............ :rolleyes:
EK4 owners are as fortunate as the EK9 owners in my opinion.
My eyes have seen many EK4s with minor and external mods to beat stock EK9s easily!
