Update on H-swap EK


Hey guys,

Not much to report today, sent my door panel cards to the other side of the island to get fixed and fiberglass and then smoothen down and to get threadlock cause want to put back on the brackets this evening.

Both are out and getting fix cause they tend to break by just even making heavy eye contact so wont get them til end of the month.

Top left is what i ordered, bottom left is what i sprayed but it got fuzzy. On the right is what i picked up today at a local sewing/fabric store that have all kinds of colours and i was like "well Duh! Should have came here before ordering":slap:

So those will be going on the door panel cards once it's complete, gotta keep with the theme ;)

Here we are, alternator and A/C compressor will be placed in once the engine is in.

Hey guys,

Been away since i injured myself, grinder rubbed my finger and got work done but the injury stopped me from working on the car for a entire week

Hey guys, finally got back my calipers, was back to work this week, been super tired buttttt i got the calipers freshly spray and my door panel cards, fibreglassed so more solid than ever, photos will be posted as i get home, this black friday sale traffic is very hectic *facepalms*

Got my painter to do mini bodywork on them to make them more solid so they wont break and big thanks for my Buddy Chaz & Kyra, those 2 have did my carpet and calipers before as well as the valve cover here. Most appreciated.

Hi guys,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!:dance:

We are 18/19 days into 2022,

I've been working long hours since my last post, even right now as i type this, im at work waiting for the clock to hit 10pm to go home, extremely long day.
 
So guys,

been a whole lotta stuff happening
Door inserts for panels are on and drilled in, not going in til interior interior is done. The door panel carts have cushion in them courtesy to Jeff Upholstery.

So the subframe was the task for today since my crane went down before i even got to start it.

Yes it is unbelievable in a mess, end of Feb it shall be looking brand new.

First end bushings were pretty easy to come out....the middle one.......my lord, terrible!

Little buggers were a hard one to get out but got them out thanks to my pal at work who's a welder.

Does anyone know what to use to clean out the steering rack with and what to fill it back with?

I'm proposing on clean it with diesel but i want to know what to fill it back up before i connect it back up.

Let me know if thats a good idea.
 
just about any solvent should clean it out, so diesel would probably work

cant help on the filling it back up though
 
Morning guys, its been awhile so lets get to it.

Subframe parts have been powdercoated, just picked it up yesterday.

So the Pinion now i'm going at, gonna get new booths tomorrow but gonna clean up all of that dirty oil inside and get that spic and span

Ofcourse you know, going to be using my favourite purple blaster and CRC degreaser to take all thr dirt and build up off.

Then wire brush the paint on the black part off and get it prepped for the Epoxy and black clearcoat spray.
