TrackScotland Day at Knockhill - 6th of Feb

Took my dads car last night to get up to the garage and work on my car

First night in a while it wasn't freezing so took the back roads and gave it death, my god, we're going to struggle to keep up on track Duns, well as long as my dad drives it proper, haha :wow:

Is your dads car standard steven?

Yeah it is, besides some upgrades to the brakes, as big as the brakes are as standard, the oem pads really are shocking, glad they're gone now

the FD2 sounds ace! does the FD2 have the same engine output as the DC5? I think yours and Dunsy's will give it a good race tho!

Think I will just be watching unfortunately, my car is only getting started this weekend hopefully. just waiting to get the heater matrix and heater system of Jimbob then we can get started! :) not sure how long its gona take us to get it all sorted! I miss my car so much! :(

Haha, will see how mine feels once it's done, should be a bit quicker than it was, i'll certainly be able to outbrake him thats for sure :woot:

His FEELS quicker with the extra torque for sure

Yer I know what you mean. I have driven my friends UK EP3 and the torque sub 3k revs feels nice, but I do think the gearbox has a big effect on this feel!

Anyhoo had a few blast with him on the straights (Motorway) and its near as dam it even up between our cars up to about 110 mph! I will say though my car has a few discreet mods and his is standard.

Nevermind hey - not about straight line stuff, the corners are where the magic happens for me! :D

Josh..

i would like to put my car on the track but i have never been on a track before, would feel like im getting in the way of some people, i might just come up and watch though.

Don't think like that!

First track day I went to was one of these trackscotland ones, theres no "pressure" on you, just let the faster cars past on the straights and you're fine

Being a 4 hour session there SHOULD be less traffic on track than a 2 hour night session as theres less rush to get out and get your monies worth :)

think i might book a place on this, i'm using a b16a at the moment in my ek9 so i'll be disadvantaged, but i've never done a track day so will be good just for the experience. Does anyone know if there's any spaces left?

Im thinking of doing this but i dont think my standard suspension is up to it :(

Standard EK9 suspension is more than capable! You will probably fair better in the wet with it than me and Dunsy

hope your handbreak cable is tight stevie shen, hawnie dat hairpen eh

HAHA

Got the car fully broadside on the performancetek night due to rear tyres getting a tad hot!

Will be taking a tyre pressure gauge this time for sure

Tyres pressures down to 22/24 will stop that stevie boy, also if you leanr to control the car better that wont happen :p

NUT...

Cage is going in tonight
Then i just need to remember how to drive :nice:

Hope it stays dry for you people, look forward to vids & pics :nice:
