Hi there,

What setting have yous guys tried on track?

I'm finding the back end skipping on some corners as so thinking about applying some reverse rake and some toe in at the rear to try and counter this.

TBH unless your at a track day and have the correct tools to adjust this and then test instead of just doing it by eye your better off leaving it to a professional to setup.

I have had Rmotion and Performance Autorworks do setups on my car both have been great. IIRC mine has a little toe out on the rear to keep the back in check.

What tyres do you have and are you running an ARB?

What I would do is go to your local Kwik fit or similar and get a factory geo setup and take it from there making sure you have some true alignment settings first, usually about £30 for a 4 wheel laser alignment. Standard setup I found great on track, very nicely balanced and some lift off oversteer could be induced quite easily, felt safe though. I will go for a bit more rear toe out next, I like the rear to be a bit lively! :p

Presume you have an ITR?

I'm running Kumho V700 (V70a) Medium compound on 16" Enkei NT03's.
Just running stock ARB and have Cusco Zero 1 coilovers.

I predominantly go to Knockhill so need a relativity soft set up.

Yeah I have a 96spec. Yeah, I've started form factory setting and. Running -2.5° of camber at the front. Need to get some rear camber arms

You can get some adjustment with the standard toe arms however I would recommend replacing them not only will the bushes be fresh but you will have plenty of adjustment then.

I have the cyberspeed rear arms on mine and up from the skunk 2 pro series ones.

When I fitted a thicker ARB to the rear of mine it made it more prone to oversteer.

Is there a difference between the ARB on the 96 spec teg vs the 98 spec?

Not sure if I'm honest. 98 spec might be thicker as it weighs in a little more on the scales?

Do you rate cyberspeed camber arms over skunk 2?

I'll try hunt out my track setup and pm you it was for my teg but will be a good base line for you my car was great on track very planted and next to no tail end skipping

Thanks that would be great :nice:

Would be good to compare the setups

I only have the cyberspeed rear toe and camber arms which are great bits of kit.

The from i was recommended to go for the Skunk 2 Pro series as they are good quality and not as clunky as the cyberspeed front arms.

ARB 96 & UK: f24/r22. ARB 98: f25/r23, I would avoid any Kwikfit monkeys even with basic geo, 98 spec is a good upgrade, not worth going larger unless you really know what you want from your setup. Im sure their are recommendations on where to take the car from KH regulars.

I still recommend Eibach/SPC despite the odd rare failure from others.
