hey gyus any1 kno if toyo t1rs are a good tyre...gettin four of them cheap and just lokkin to kno if there any gud for my ek9..cheers:D

Their tyre walls are too soft for EK9's many owners tend to go for bridgestones, hankooks or the R888s. Do a search and you will find out more information about what tyres to get as this has been covered many times over.

i have them in 50 profile, i think they are alrite, quite a lot of grip as well.

I have them and find them good enough, did the trick on track days and good for everyday

i just put 4 on this weekend gone, and they seem good. but iv got 195/45/16 so the tyre wall isnt a problem.

how much are u getting them for because i got mine from camskill.co.uk for £47.50 each delivered.

had a set on my ek , i couldnt fault them . recently swithced to prada's , just waiting on some good dry weather to try them out !

too be honest i had them on the civic thouth they where good on till i got the hankooks rs2 which i like beter

good in the dry with a low profile

not soo good in the wet

Worst tyres iv ever had, had to get rid off them about 2months after buyin them. Very bad oversteer

why make a statement like that without reccomendations on better choices?

that comment helps nobody

for all we know you could have been using AO48 advans all your life

currently got two on the front of mine, 55 profile, personally dont like them, as others have said too soft a side wall. i have some R1R coming soon though :D

parada spec 2's

I've got a set of TR1's on mine now running them on 195/50/15, there good tyres in the dry, not great in the wet you would not want to race with them in wet conditions ( or not me anyway ) I've heard alot of good things about hankooks rs2

Ye t1rs are pretty good in the dry, i have them in 195/50/15 as well, find under really hard conerning they can feel a little soft. They understeer pretty easily in the wet on my ek, but might be due to my poor suspension setup.

For the price though, places like camskills and that you can get them for 30 quid a piece, there good value for money.

I use 205/45/16 on my 16" Advan RG's and love them for the money (might just be the lower profile). Found them great in the wet and awesome in the dry. Used them around the ring too but will be running 888's instead this year. :D

T1-R's are a great tire for the price, the have good grip levels and i think there ok in the wet to. Sidewalls are mega soft and to be honest I cant see how anyone uses them on the track (Im using 195-50-15) as even on the road i can get them to the point quite easily where they feel like there allmost folding under the wheel which if im honest i dont like that feeling, mush prefer the stiffer bridestones.

But as i say for the price they last well, grip is good just a shame about the sidewalls since the birth of my son i have tried a few of the more 'Budget' tyres but if you got the cash go for hankooks rs2 or one of the higher end bridgestones.

As for Parada's spec 2s I hated them, great levels of grip in the dry but again the mega soft sidewall even softer that a T1R which i dont really like but will put up with for moneys sake. In the wet though unless brand new they aquaplane and have bugger all grip, scarry when you hit standing water.

Possibly the worst tyre I've ever driven on in every car. My ek9 felt unresponsive and numb in all conditions. My evo 6 had them on whenni bought it and I cornered that hard I wore all the writing off on the whole sidewall near enough. They can't cope with hard accelaration or hard braking either they just squirm all over the place. Parada spec fails are just as bad :-( stick to a primium tyre. You'll enjoy your ar twice as much. :)

premium as in???????

seriously like nobody even finishes their posts anymore

you badmouth t1r and parada and then suggest a premium tyre

Shut it Lee lol your far too angry all the time. I got a near enough brand new set of re010 on my back garden I dint overly like them. R888's are far better in the wet and dry. I got hankook ventus v12 evos on my work eg6 there not too bad for the price. If you don't mind dripping to a 50 profile go fir advan neova ad05/6 there pretty dam awsome. Or get on the phone to julian From rare rims he's got a load of AD08's on route. There meant to be pretty bad ass. :)

I have these on my daily hack (celica GT)...and find them pretty decent, and good value for money!

however...would not put them on my DC2,

as previously said, the sidewalls are a bit soft and IMHO tyres such as Hankook RS2, Advan Neovas etc are much better suited to the dc2/ek9
