I fitted my coilovers today.

Nice fitment and good easy job.

I have them set at the highest setting (I have the locking collar at the very bottom of the strut to give me maximum ride height).

Trouble is...it is far to low at the front that on the rear!

Check out the pictures!

The manifold sits about 3 1/2cm off of the floor when there is a person sat in it and I have also had to remove my under tray and mud guards because they were catching.

The wheels ride up on the inner arch by the wing on full lock with a person in the car.

Any idea on what to do to give me an inch or two more height???

Could I have mixed up the font and rear springs? I doubt they would be different length but can't honestly remember!:eek::eek:

Does look sweet though! ;)

Looks wicked m8, what coilovers are they?

Aren't you meant to have the locking collar at the top of the strut for maximum ride or or am I getting confused

See you got the exhaust fitted too, how's it sound? :nice:

Locking collar keeps the spring adjustment collar at its designated height.

If its at the bottom of the strut, its then set at the highest ride setting.

Yea...fitted the exhaust the other day.

Sounds sweet. ;)

)

If it's at the bottom of the damper, it's actually at its lowest setting. Your car is sitting as low as it goes, not as high!

Yeah thats what I thought, on my old TEIN's you wind the locking collar down a little unlock the adjustment collar. Then wind that up to increase ride height and wind it down to lower the car. :blinx:

Right...ok. lol

So I just need to wind the collars up the strut a bit then?

I thought that if I wound it up, the spring would compress more and the ride height would be lower?!

I will try that before I strip it all out again and swap the springs. lol

haha yeah wind the collars up, the lower the collars are the lower your car sits

lol boozer matt!! you did it backwards, thats as low as they go, it looks great but do as dino said, turn the collars from left to right to raise them up.

I have raised it up now.

Turned both collars up the same. Was 7 complete turns of the collar.

Still very low but definitely more clearance.

Will probably make it higher still, as the manifold is still very very low to the floor! :(

Cheers for all the help guys! ;)

Yo matt, what coilovers did u go for in the end? ;P

i think thats sitting really nice in the pics , just watch out for speed bumps !!
