I have heard and read a lot about the size of my VTi's(B16A2) Throttle body they say it's 58.Now i have an Integra DC2 B18C R intake manifold with the throttle body too this one is 60 right? Because as much i have read i saw this :
VTi/SiR B16A/2 = 58
EK9/DC2 Type R B16B/B18C = 60
K20A/2 = 60
F20/22C = 62
Am i right or i just read for nothing? I believe i am in the right forum for this answers... :p
Thank you for reading mates.

Thank you for reading mates.

Civic iVT (B16A1) = 58
Civic VTi (B16A2) = 60
EK9 = 60
DC2 = 62

The stock tb. (60 mm.) is enough except your engine is heavily modified.

I had stock VTi tb. (60) and I changed it for a DC2 tb. and the car isn't stronger than before even the 60 mm. tb was better.

Szabb1 thank you very much for the answer mate!
I have B16A2 with the DC2 tb. with the intake manifold and the fuel injectors of the DC2 plus the P30 ecu remaped and the catalyst of DC2 and DC sports exhaust manifold and the car is way better in everything! It is even more economic than before i don't know how maybe is a good remap ;)

You're welcome mate.

My VTi has EK9 cams, Vibrant 4-2-1 Jspec. header, skunk2 pro intake manifold, AEM V2 CAI, EK9 retainers and valve springs, programmed P28 ECU, itr. flywheel, itr tb. (62 mm.), skunk2 catback system, cat. converter.

I feel so the 60 mm. tb. was better with AEM CAI (especially from vtec range) but if I use the stock tegra air intake (I use it only from autumn till spring - winter period) the 62 mm. tb is better in the low rev.

The car is strong with the stock intgera air intake and 62 mm. tb. combined from 2K rev. until 4-5K rev. and the vtec rrev is much better with the AEM CAI.

Interested in this for my B20 setup. Should I stick with 60mm or go with an ITR 62mm throttle body ? Would it mkae much difference when i come to get thr car mapped ?

Szabb1 for me the best thing you need to do to make that engine more better with this setup that you have made is to put some new high comp. pistons and aftermarket tb. for your skunk2 intake manifold like the skunk2 tb which is i think 75? am i right mate?

Yes Johnny I know the next step is the high comp pistons but my engine is good so I don't want to broken yet.:)

The skunk2 intake manifold has 64 mm. diameter so the teg tb. is good for it. (tegra tb. has 63.5 mm. diameter in the inner side) of course you can be port matched to 75 mm. but it would be too much for my set up.

I want to change my Throttle Body from the ITR because it has some problems and to fix it i want a new one so i don't want to pay for another used ITR or CTR throttle body so i want to buy the new Skunk2 74mm to fit it in but i don't know if it work well with the ITR intake manifold i have. The dealer for Skunk2 here says is working a little better with the Skunk2 intake manifold but i won't have problems... i don't trust someone that wants to sell parts so i want you opinion mates.

Skunk2 Racing: 74mm B-Series Throttle Body

74mm TB for a stock-ish b16a won't offer any performance gain, infact you may find low down power will suffer a little and it defeats the purpose of running the large TB if you don't port match the intake manifold.

Already done the port match to the ITR intake manifold to see if the problem was fixed with the Throttle body but when i put them together again i saw the problem in the TB after cleaning it... so if i get the 74mm i may have low response to the throttle or the oposite? If i will put in the near future CTR or ITR 98 Spec cams with the valvetrain to my B16A2 head will make it work better? or i will have to put some high comp pistons?

You'd need 2000cc to make it worthwhile, it's too big for a 1600.

I always respect Kozy's opinion in this forum. So what TB is best for my Stock B16A2 please don't tell me the OEM one 58 ! Better for the 60mm or a 62mm again? something better above that like not the too much i said before for the 74mm.

Yes won't help power at all. Even with high comp pistons the amount of air per intake stroke on the 1.6 won't warrant anything above 70mm TB IMO. 62mm TB has been proven to work well on a b16a.

Thank you Vtec6000 i will go for aftermarket 68 from Skunk2 your opinion is also trusted by me because you are a tech ecu guru so you have remaped a lot b series engines with aftermarket parts and you know from first hand which is good for any setup. Thank you all for answering.

I would go with a ITR TB(62mm), it will work well even when you add the type r cams.
