The steelie look on an ej9?

I cant really afford decent alloys yet, having just bought the car etc.I was thinking about just dropping my ej9 and spraying the steelies like a satin black.Has anyone ever done this and have any pics so i could see what it would look like? Or whether it wudnt look very good anyway?

I don't think it would look much better tbh...Only steelies I've seen and like are those that have been widened. What car have you got?

I'm all for it mate, long as you get a heavy drop on it, that has far more of a visual impact than the wheels themselves

A drop of around 50-60mm??

I's say that'd be about right. Are you planning on springs or coilovers though? One thing I've always found about springs is that they tend to sit higher on the rear, really screws up the look.

Least with coiloevrs you can get the height perfect all round

Was going to get springs for he moment to put me on, till i can afford coilovers anyway. If the steelies do look crap, ill just put the trims back on haha.
