Test drive one today, the body structure is very rigid. The car steer very fast, it is alot quicker than EK9, and it turn really quick. The engine has very good low end power + good top end! It is very fast from 0-100km/hr, i had wheel spin through the whole first gear when i start from stand still. It is very tempting to collect one into my collection!!

Now i want to test a EP3 (Japanese Version), i like EP3 more than FD2 but i have never try a stock EP3 so i can not compare it to FD2.

Lovely car but as said above load to buy if i had te money :)

You cannot compare an EP3 to a FD2

Total **** to change the spark plugs though, went to change the plugs on my dads FD2 tonight and realised the scuttle all has to come off, leave that for the weekend, haha

if i ever get another honda its going to be one of these!

such a nice car but jesus they cost a fortune to buy, wouldn't mind one once the prices have dropped to a reasonable point.

FD2's r stunning! Best looking Civic Type R since the EK9 without a doubt.

Crazy money to buy i think. R they not still around round £22,000??

They seem to have stabilised at anything from £12,000-£20,000. Expensive but not bad considering they are rare and only a couple of years old. They aint much more than a UKDM Type R of a similar age.

Also considering the fact that Honda stopped production of them a while back, blue ones were stopped after the first year and now with the situation in Japan they will hold their value well

LOT of car for the money, really are something special to drive

Yes, change spark plugs is a nice trip compared with changing these on a DC2, EK9, etc.
The same happens on our Euro R (FN2). The K20 is so tight there, that some jobs take their own time.

But, no problem. Just a bit more of time, and ready. ^^,

If I had the money right now I would buy an FD2 for a daily, amazin cars

An older guy near me drives one, bog standard in blue and when you are behind him it looks so solid as you can see it juddering over the slightest bumps on the road

Hopefully I will own one some time but the ek9 will still be kept!

Crazy how stiff they are yeah BUT when you jack them up they have heaps of droop in the suspension so they will easy maintain traction on all 4 wheels :nice:

My dad wants to sell me his in a couple years time, run it as my daily and keep the ek9 for the track :nerv:

Nice one :) That would be my ideal car selection: FD2 keep it standard (even tho they are raw enough to drive as standard) for a daily car and then have the ek9 for trackdays, weekends and a hobbie.

Hopefully I will own one some day and if I can't afford the fd2 I would just buy an EP3 for a daily as a 2nd choice. EP3s are a lot of car for the money that they are going for these days
