Yeh thats a bit weird. What brand is your coilovers? My Super Street had around 20clicks compared to monoflex 28clicks.

Actually they are World Rally champ coilovers lol... very good ones indeed. And yes they only supposed to have few settings.

They've changed the model type to Gr.N or something. But strangely, it isn't available for EK9. I think it's EG6.

How does it feel? Soft? Bumpy?

Look here
TEIN Type RA Damper

bloody hell wrc coilovers! lol

they have a very nice feel, very firm, but i like them, car handles lovely on them (ek4 by the way).

im just hoping there isnt anything wrong with them!!

thanks for the info jugbugz :nice:

the monoflex is harder and lighter i believe (many told me :D) because there is more space for fluid inside...

the monoflex is more racing type while the normal flex is more street/track type.

i will order the flex soon, i think. Some guys told me the flex also lasts longer then a monoflex because of it's twin tube design. i think they're both good but for my choice the flex is best i think :D will make a review in my modding thread within next two mothns or so, when parts are here and mounted :D

Anyone used Tein S-Tech lowering springs? They come in medium and soft im thinking about gettin the soft ones I wanna lower the car but with the roads over here I defently wouldnt want a stiff suspension its bad enough even with standard shocks and springs.

I got the spring rates for the Tein soft springs;
Front: 4.2kg/mm
Rear: 2.5kg/mm

Anyone know much about these ratings? Are these stiffer or softer than standard?

Heres some pics of ek9 suspension compared to SiR suspension springs rates included:
front.JPG

rear.JPG

:nice:

let me know if the pics dont show up

i don't see tein type ha on the chart,

also how many mm's do people recommand lowering there coilovers for the perfect coilover set up and what spring rate do you guy's recommand for track/street use

how do you guys rate teh tein stuff, anyone on here got it on their car?
i was amazed how good teh standard shocks and springs were when i got my ek9, nice and firm and well damped too, honda did a good job!!
im using the Flex (control Master)
on my ek9 and the handling is unreal, best handling car ive owned and ive had some serious handling cars:nice:

use it everyday, its stiff but id always put function over comfort

Actually, Tein sussys dont really go very low especially the front. The rears can go lower than the fronts.

I reccommend 1 finger between the guards and tyres. You wont go wrong with this setup.

Cool to hear some feedback on the FLEX, I guess you guys dont have problems with comfort, blinx did say the FLEX was theoretically bumpier than the Monoflex.

But yeh Handling is very crisp and sharp, but comfort makes you swear even over small bumps.

Good idea, but after browsing through TEINs website, the charts are HUGE!

But these are the models available for EK9;
Super Street (driving master)
Flex (control Master)
Monoflex (winding master)
Super Racing (circuit master, Ultimate spec)
Type HT (tarmac)
Type HG (gravel)
N1 (circuit endurance)
Type Gravel (competition spec)
S.Tech (dress up master - Super low for show)

The most aggressive type for Track available for EK9 would have to be SUPER RACING and N1

I'm using Monoflex atm, and its not very good on the street, way too uncomfortable. Flex is a good option for street.

I can quote anyone up on prices if they want. Just PM me.

How long before the MONOFLEX seals give out on the street?

Would you describe the EK9 Monoflex ride as firm, harsh or crashy over small, medium and large road imperfections?

so would you guys recomend the superstreets or flex? i will just be doing daily driving maybe track it once a year. I was planing on getting superstreets in a couple of months, with upper mounts but it sounds like there a waist of money (the upper mounts) am i right in saying that?

Would you describe the EK9 Monoflex ride as firm, harsh or crashy over small, medium and large road imperfections?

you will feel every bump if set hard but when you soften the ride it increases bodyroll, on good roads they are real good , on a rutted road they will be annoying if its for any length of time. i have mine set pretty hard , country roads are really good fun , always make me think i could have took that corner faster
