Tegiwa water hose causing a leak?

You were expecting the stock hose clip that's designed to wrap around a soft rubber hose to clamp a much stronger silicone hose?

Is that really Tegiwas problem? Eh no.

Here we go again, Lets all jump on the anti tegiwa band wagon....
It's a simple solution, use a jubilee clip.

i cant wait to get a picture of what i found this morning but will have to wait til it stops raining to get a good picture

i dont know how its doing it but the water is now coming out of the walls of the pipe if you were to look at the pipe face on. And this is with the jubilee clip on! Bit quick to jump to that conclusion hey murray?! especially when its worked for the past year n a half with the standard clip!

Il get a picture up asap

and this is nothing to do with jumping on the tegiwa bandwagon **** sake look at how many people here are saying not to use their pipes, and from my PERSONAL experience their products and company are both shocking! bandwagon lol i give anyone a chance and i gave tegiwa more than one and ive just had enough

^^^ sounds like the tegiwa hose is delaminating. Did you happen to have an over heating issue with that hose in place?

the layers of the hose are separating, thus allowing the fluids to pass through.

Delaminating; hose is separating from itself, allowing fluid to escape. But more important than that is pressure is escaping as well...loose to much and you will have an over-heating issue. You should change to new hoses top and bottom.
There are other coolant hoses that you should also change along with the top and bottom hoses.

ok cheers guys luckily my car is off the road at the moment so il get some oem pipes sorted asap.

thanks for making me aware of that pressure/overheating issue! :nice:

bandwagon LOL!!

tegiwa or other brands, this even happens on OEM hoses.
Heat cycles age the hoses making them do this over time.
Not on the bandwagon, just trying to help you out is all.

... :)
happy to help buddy.

this is 10 minutes after starting the car and just on tick over :((

contact tegiwa for a replacement, there is a flaw with that hose somewhere and the fluid is weeping through it under pressure.

And did you receive your hose without any trouble? Or you rather not say if they replaced it without question?

matt from tegiwa managed to sort out 2 new pipes for me but they havent yet got here and i was going to post about the good service he gave me once they do get here as its something i told him i would do

nothing to do with 'id rather not say'

anyway im hoping they will be here this week and appreciate the help he gave me but my personal preference is still to use oem hoses but atleast now i can spend money elsewhere on the car until i get some. I take back the "they probably wont do anything about it" because he was very helpful
