Ive got a water leak on my eg6, had it for a while but havent been able to find it until today. Its coming from the top radiator hose and i only spotted it because its got worse and could see water sitting on my fan. When the cars running and got some pressure its quite a big leak!

Thought it might of been a weld on the rad but couldnt see any crack or sign of it leaking, then i noticed the hose has a bad score mark inside and wondering if this could be the reason? :(

cheers

Im using tegiwa hoses with no issues for the last year or so with no problems. Pm them im sure they will sort you out if its a manufacturing defect.

@tama - i may do yet!

@weetabixhead - yeah ive had no problems until now, had these for about 2years so i doubt they would do anything about it. Ive removed the pipe probably 3 or 4 times since its been on and nothings sharp on the rad so i cant see how it happend. Unless like you say it was a manufacturing defect and its got worse over time

ahhh, 2 years old, not old at all really. OEM should last about 5 years without issue.
Lastly, use a better clamp over the OEM clamp.

oem it is then, cant believe how much crap ive had with tegiwa, unreal!

yeah im using a big jubilee clip now and it seems to have worked, just annoying when you pay good money and get poor quality

well, hard to beat OEM quality...especially from Honda they are quality freaks.

Try using a juberlee clip, then crocdile clips are useless.

true! i havent looked at a new price of oem hoses yet :nerv:

ye ive now swapped it for a jubilee, seems to be working but still going to jubilee the rest of them til i get some oem pipes

i might do, would surprise me if they did something about it though

there are other good quality hoses out there, there should be no ripples on the inside of the hoses like the one you've shown. As said by others a jubilee clip would cure the leak as the oem clips arent great, especially on thicker aftermarket hoses.

What's your aim of changing the hose?
Just for bling I'm assuming...

@elchunk - yeah ive got them all jubilee'd now and guess i should of expected it from tegiwa

@jake123 - ye suppose it was for the bling, now i cant wait to get them off especially to get rid of that logo on the pipes! that name is going nowhere near my car ever again

If your going aftermarket, get SAMCO or nothing, otherwise stick to OEM.

TEWIGA are wank, i wouldnt piss on their products if they were on fire.

@joe - thanks on the advice and totally agree. These will be going on the bonfire when i get some new ones!

I had the same issue with Tegiwa hoses, I used some jubilee clips instead of the Honda spring clips and that sorted the leaks

ive never heard of any problems with them until now and by you saying that means it isnt just with my pipes or a "bad batch" which is no doubt what they would call it.

The pipe is working as it should with the jubilee but i dont want anything on my car which has tegiwa written on it anymore
